My gut says it wasn’t a hitman. I can absolutely see someone affected by crippling medical debt feeling the need to take it out on those they feel are responsible. Especially if they have a mental disorder which is likely not being treated for the aforementioned reasons.
I’m not saying he deserved it nor am I celebrating his death but I’m glad that if my guess is close and the killer was going to target anyone, it was a health insurance CEO and not a doctor

Based on the released information, it’s possible the shooter could never be identified.
