When President Trump issed an Executive Order targeting Chris Krebs—a respected cybersecurity leader and the first director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency—the cybersecurity industry should have responded with a unified voice of outrage and support

The author isn’t wrong, but “cyber security” isn’t an independent bastion, it’s part of an industry that consumed itself in a canabalistic orgy over the last 25 years and what’s left now stands behind, and as, oligarchs.

This is a really fucking stupid take.

There’s left and right leaning cyber companies, just like everything else.

Not to mention, cyber functions off of math and science, it should be pretty clear that most people in cybersecurity understand that the plane didn’t crash because woke.

I should probably read the article before commenting, but it should be said that cyber security is absolutely almost entirely not math related. The vast majority of the industry is focused on human induced vulnerabilities in the stack (bugs, social engineering, etc). Not mathematics or next generation cryptographics or etc.
