Go ahead and post! Sometimes Lemmy can be weird about the “subscribe” feature when subscribing between instances. You’re already subscribed as soon as you hit the button, it just isn’t showing correctly.

It’s been talked about as a good alternative for people with social media addiction as a way to still be able to post their thoughts without them actually going anyway. It’s just a way to have the social media experience without actually having any of the social media.
