The growing pit in my stomach is that AI is just the needle that bursts the tech bubble. Even when it inevitably collapses and escapes the death grip they have on it now, there won’t be a sudden realization and mass rehiring. Not everything needs an app or subscription service and people certainly won’t be able to afford such things in the resultant recession.
The only way out of this hole is with resilient, comprehensive social plans which, uhhhh. UHHHHH … 😥
