Inkscape is an excellent vector tool Krita has been built from the start to be a drawing, painting illustration tool Gimp is an image manipulation tool. Naturally they have features that cross over with one another but they are each the best at their specific goal
What does Gimp do that Krita (or other FOSS projects) can’t?
I can’t answer that question exactly, but I will say that they are built for different reasons.
Inkscape is an excellent vector tool
Krita has been built from the start to be a drawing, painting illustration tool
Gimp is an image manipulation tool.
Naturally they have features that cross over with one another but they are each the best at their specific goal
