Agreed with Linux gaming AMD all the way. For laptops if you don’t wanna go dedicated GPU they make some wonderful budget friendly performance APUs (CPU plus GPU like Intel integrated graphics but more capable for light gaming :) IMO of course

Old think pads can be had for dirt cheap on eBay, you’ve essentially got a little server you can hide anywhere, you don’t have the keep the lid open (disable sleep on lid close, you can hide it wherever you want now) , ANDmost importantly it has it’s own little integrated UPS :)
Lmao some malicious ass advise here
Yeah I was gonna say this is something anyone in tech knows, spaces are a plague
I’ll set this up this weekend, thanks for the heads up (salute emoji)
Literally whatever is in your price range. If you can swing an i7, something relatively new like gen 6 or higher. If not i5 gen 6 or higher. Recommend at least 16 GB ram, 32 preferable. Make sure it comes with a working battery and charger. Anything else is your preference, like does it have a VGA port? Or HDMI? Or a disk drive. Or flash card port. A GPU is a huge plus for gaming if desired. Model doesn’t matter as much as specs do.
I use arch btw
Joking aside, id love to help you try transitioning to Linux. If you have questions let me know. I recommend easy to use “just works” distros like Mint (Cinammon) or Pop!_OS I love them both dearly and you dont have to be good with a terminal to use them.
I do also recommend odyssey and Library
It’s a privacy respecting front end for YouTube. Same data, less google cancer. Just look it up. I’m a fan of yewtu.be its a solid public invidious instance. It’s all very similar to what piped is doing. I haven’t used YouTube proper in ages.
They could not possibly care any less , sadly
Mountains out of mole hills. Non issue
Stopped buying EA games, Activision/blizzard, ubisoft games a long time ago, don’t have to worry about this shit most of the time.
