Any suggestions on what to give people for debloated windows?
Lmao, the context menu back to the old one is also the very first thing I changed on my work PC, Along with removing start button search. But for the rest, I completely agree, nothing is going to change without MY input
Also curious, have you found a good windows explorer replacement? The shortcuts now not actually representing your user folder drives me nuts. I’m currently trying onecommander out, just wondering if you had a suggestion for something different though.
This is the first computer where I built it with Linux in mind, and man is it a mostly seamless experience. While I also have a soft spot for XP, I would honestly say 7 was peak. Everything was more or less exactly what it said it was. I do IT, and man, is it frustrating trying to navigate both control Panel, and the settings app.
Sometimes when you click on an icon or a link in control panel, it brings you to settings, so you have to type it into the address bar to get where you want in control panel.
I buy pixel phones, because out of the sea of bullshit, it’s at least capable of being rooted/flash to a new os. The PinePhone sadly isn’t ready.
Yeah, stare decisis means nothing anymore according to this Supreme court.
They bend over backwards to get the outcome they desire.
I genuinely forgot about the ads with sound.
I don’t miss them.
While correct, for the keyboard I linked, when you press F13 through F24 it sends Shift+F1 through Shift+F12. Which is not impossible to remap, but what if you need to press Shift+F1?
Hey, this is one of the reasons I bought this keyboard!
For a couple extra bucks you can get them to make each individual key a separate key code by asking them to convert it to Single Usage Code Firmware, which is so nifty to me!
Yeah, that’s a worse version of my terrible experience with nvidia on linux. I’m sorry thats putting a sour taste in your mouth.
I will say that when I built my current computer I built it with amd for the CPU and GPU and the experience has been like butter in comparison. Everything I’ve used through steam has launched and ran without issue. Maybe I changed some to experimental, but I can’t remember.
I also tried mint this time around, and my motherboard is too new to have built in Ethernet drivers in the mint kernel. Plus things that just worked in KDE neon just didn’t work in mint.
So as others have said, it depends.

I haven’t tried either of these.
I am also curious, AMD or Nvidia?
I miss Relay.
Just because you didn’t actually share it:
