Well that’s odd, on the apple App Store there is a 4 year old Social Networking app called BitChat, that appears to mostly be in Japanese. I think I’ll stick with Signal.

I saw an Aussie article about a guy who was taking used EV batteries, using them to store power from solar panels, and then selling the power to the grid when it was profitable. Can we just give this ship to that guy?

The parameters for VNS from the article: “All participants received stimulation at equivalent parameters, consisting of 0.5 s trains of 0.8 mA 100 μs biphasic pulses at 30 Hz, delivered every 6 s during in-office therapy and homework sessions. This stimulation paradigm was based on preclinical optimization studies [26–29]. The delivery of VNS every 6 s ensures that stimulation occurs within seconds of the relevant portions of each PE session, a key determinant in the enhancement of fear extinction [27].”
taVNS is a non-invasive method to stimulate the vagus nerve via electrical stimulation applied to the branch of the vagus nerve it that comes to the skin surface on the Cymba Concha region of the Auricle (the outer part of the ear). This method could be used in conjunction with Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and would be be non-invasive, which in my mind would be a significant advantage.
Let’s see what can be done. Ape together strong!
smae! there wasn’t a community for my town, so I made one. Also I’m really into photobiomodulation, made a community, but it was on kbin which frittered away, so now I have to remake it. We’re building a whole new thing, new culture, new communities. No better time for it, with all the chaos, let’s make a shiny new garden here, tend it, watch it grow.
I hear you on the scroll less. Time limits help me to not be obsessively scrolling. Emphasizing quality over quantity also helps. Cheers!
SYAC: The key sentence: "Bluesky, despite its innovative technology and good intentions, is built on the same venture-capital-backed foundation that has led so many promising platforms to eventually prioritize shareholders over users. " Mastodent wins!
Leopards, faces, nom nom nom.
what are you interested in finding that you aren’t? build it, put it up, ask questions. We’re all here on the frontier building what we want.
If you want for something here, it’s a new place, make it. We’re all over here building a new way to do this thing, and everyone’s input is important. What do you want to see, that you haven’t found on Fedi?
Wondering this, too. I have two ‘nicole’ messages in my queue, but don’t want to open them because that provides information to the nicol-a-rati.
Unless something has changed I’m under the impression that it’s not possible with Signal, either.
I’ve fallen onto wireless charging, too. I got a cheapo disc deally that’s next to my bed. And then got a car that had a wireless charger. It makes it easier when I’m changing music to not have to deal with a charge cord. The fact that it warms up when it’s charging makes me think it’s less efficient that a cord, tho’.
Can you use your phone as a power bank?
Recent advances is water battle technology include a device, essentially a loose sponge wrapped in lycra, which can be lobbed at one’s opponent. Then it can be ‘recharged’ by squeezing is submerged in a bucket of water; several of these refill buckets can be placed around the battle area. Their re-charge capacity makes them superior to single use water balloons.
Okee doke, thank you for bringing it to my attention. :-D
