I was gonna make a sarcastic comment on how surprised I was that a 5$ subscription is not enough for something so heavy that it requires building new nuclear plants.
But holly shit, ChatGPT+ is 23€/months.

My take of this is that their definition of socialism is “an economic system where all people appear to not be rich” while their definition of capitalism has to be “some people are super rich”…
Why the fuck would you call an external API for a static font?? O_o
Does it have something to do with paid plans?
So he’s now over with AR honeymoon?
Yeah people often mention the funny phone designs from the 2000’s but they also praise the Nokia 3310 for its reliability.
After having a similar feeling as yours I went for NixOS.
My thoughts then : if it breaks I can rollback, and the unstable channel is quite comparable to what arch offers.
Now : I’ve moved to stable channel, because it’s updated enough and allows me to only deal with breaking changes twice a year. Moving to NixOS was time consuming (but fun) because it required to rewrite all my dotfiles and learn something new.
It didn’t understand the 4th panel as an explanation of the joke but just an emphasis on how absurd it is that the character planned all along that his installation will be wrong.
Is your pin automatically updated to reflect inflation?
The idea that RAGs “extend their memory” is also complete bullshit. We literally just finally build working search engine, but instead of using a nice interface for it we only let chatbots use them.
A quotes from my networking teacher, a few years back :
WikiLeaks revelations on NSA are great news to us, now we can by cheap Chinese hardware as we know it won’t spy on us any more than american hardware.
To sum it up even more : this looks like standard end-to-end encryption, but any app user have the same network traffic, completed with fake data if no communication is needed.
Also, working a bit on developing my photos from RAW over last years taught me how we actually expect a lot of magic from a regular camera. The brain does a lot of work and low/high light compensation, color balance, etc… are required to some extend. Of course sometimes it becomes a bit absurd : most smartphone pictures seems oversaturated, with clear blue skies and I one took a photo of a blue-ish mountain because (I think) some classifier thought it was part of the sky.
Is there any chance this is the same HDR technology that has been around for at least 10 years, but using latest marketing buzzwords?
I don’t mind having a few screws to remove every few years when I need to replace my battery.
Although there is another thing, I’m not sure but I wonder if it has any impact. My FP3 has made a few very bad falls and nothing ever broke. I wonder if its “bad” integrity makes it very good at dissipating the fall’s energy.
TBH I’m not sure wider adoption would worsen things ? Gaming distros would probably ship bullshit anticheat modules by default while the others would not, or at most provide some documentation on how to opt in.
I think it’s quite similar to the situation with NVIDIA proprietary drivers? (I don’t own a graphics card so I’m not super aware on this topic)
I’ve just installed kopia on my home server. The web interface is super simple and it has exactly all the features I want (encryption, differential & retention tweaking).
It works with S3, so I pay less than a cent per GB for a cloud provider from my country. This pricing works best for me because I only backup about 20GB of data.
I opened the topic while knowing there will be a ton of super enthusiastic and well-constructed answers. I’m not disappointed 🍿
I don’t think France tried to break E2E yet? Some political groups repeatedly submit law projects through the democratic process, but as long as it doesn’t pass I think the best we can say is that France is against.
Sadly I kept it private because it exposes a bit of my company’s network structure (with encrypted secrets, but still…) :/
It’s not the best experience though : the pencil doesn’t work as well as in Fedora (GNOME doesn’t detect tablet mode, which only seems to affect buttons behavior) and it recompiles the kernel everytime it needs to be updated (very often, so I pinned a version).
About YouTube premium :
Also on my previous phone the YouTube app was super slow and would regularly crash because of RAM shortages. This was 6 years ago though.
