Absolutely, there’s no way I’m leaving the 3 buttons by choice. The navy gestures conflict with too many other actions.

I’m on a pixel 9 now and still have problems, it’s inherent to Android. They are less on this phone, but the 3 buttons are longer part of Google vision for how to use our phones. They are going the Apple direction.

I had this problem on a pixel 6 and was advised by Google support to switch to a 3rd party launcher.

Flowx is really great. The only app that I pay a subscription for, but if you want basic weather then the free tier will be all you need.

I think some phone manufacturers do offer a files app, I don’t know which ones have smb capabilities though. Regardless, it is an app, not a part of the OS. Also sounds like that’s how Apple implements it too, except they probably don’t let you use a different app.

I think this is a function that should be delegated to an app, so that users can choose from a variety of options. Having it built in would restrict that choice. Kind of like keyboards.

A few years ago Google got rid of a lot of their messaging apps. Now they need to make more so that they can have more.

You could always use a different launcher to do this. I like Nova Launcher, but there are lots of good options.

This is by far the most reasonable and mature conversation I’ve ever had on the internet. I wasn’t even advocating for one side or the other, was honestly just trying to learn more. Thank you for being a good person.

I agree with you about not supporting anyone who supports rogan, but it looks like he was last on the show in 2018. Is that correct?

I know rogan started ok and then went stupid at some point. Was MKBHD’s appearance before or after rogan shit the bed?
