As the other person sarcastically implied, these sites are intentionally split to make it more difficult to take them all down at once. When one goes down another can pop up, and in the mean time the others are there, on and on forever.

Polar bowler was legit for its time, solid game
Huh, I did not know that. Wild.
Jetbrains moved away from the purchase version model and to an actual monthly/yearly subscription model a very long time ago. I don’t even think you can buy their products anymore, they’re literally subscription models, no longer buy versions then get updates for a year sort of thing. You either pay them and have access or don’t and lose it.
Yes, let only the rich control your thoughts.
I’m not surprised this will get downvoted here, I’m as much of a pirate as anyone, but news needs to be paid or only people who can afford to control the news without income will control the news.
I find it on a truck that could find in my comment history.
The anti-cheats are there to detect the cheats, not necessarily stop them (though they usually do that too, at least the basic ones). When they’re detected, they can ban accounts or whatever. They usually do this in waves to prevent cheat developers from knowing exactly when their cheats were detected and what triggered the anti-cheat.
Look, you’ve already got the best audiobook player. The problem you’re having now is sourcing, the solution is to get a MyAnonymouse account. They do open registrations fairly often and it’s literally the easiest private tracker to keep up with. You may not want to torrent, but I don’t think you’re gonna find a better way to get the selection you want. MAM really is the best.
Nope, because if you write code and they can prove you were influenced by leaked proprietary code in any way then they will sue the shit out of you and shut you down.
Also see Halt and Catch Fire for a show with this as a plot point. It’s very real though.
Usenet is generally a better experience in my opinion, but of course it’s one that costs

And a lot of people went to jail for phreaking, I guess the beeper guys are lucky.
Did you even read the article? This dumbass wrote a book based on LotR characters and then HE tried to sue the Tolkien estate and Amazon. This person actually probably needs mental help if they think this could have worked, it was such an incredibly bad idea that there has to be some kind of mental health crises involved.
I’m talking about the new company phase, not the established phase with management. Every company starts somewhere.
I don’t even know what you’re on about, I don’t know how you could see that as salty about anything with my job lol
You’re the one being an ass about it, saying developers always want a greenfield project. Tons of people contribute where they can, but we still need a job. So if somebody wants to make a business making a new chat client so they can make enough money to feed their family, well, that’s the capitalistic hellhole we’ve found ourselves in.
Software Engineers just reinvent the wheel again and again as everyone loves a green field.
While somewhat true, this is also a dumb take. Not everyone working at Slack/Discord/etc can work on IRC. They’re making competing businesses, not just wanting to re-solve the same problem but wanting to do it with a new code base.
Yeah, for sure, it’s just remembering all of the things it can do seems pretty tricky lol
