Yea and they will know a lot more soon since i will buy the samsung project moohan VR headset that runs android XR. Google will become my eyes with the passthrough and they advertise the headset for AI use that can see everything i see… i’m not sure if i will turn that off right away or try to use it for some stuff. Right now i’m using a meta quest pro to work and do a lot of daily stuff so it’s a question of meta or google for me and i decided to get out of meta’s not so great VR hardware.

Honestly if they can verify that i’m an adult based on what i watch and stop blocking videos because they might not be appropriate for a kid like mf i ain’t no kid.

Under what arguments would we be able to push back on something like this? Most people would agree that these games where distasteful so arguing for them to be put back to not start a slippery slope isn’t that easy it seems.

I literally sent a message to google in the ads part of my google account since google is one of the biggest ad provider, about a wallet that would pay automatically to not see the ads. Idk if anyone reads these messages there XD

unfortunately google gains a lot more from getting our data and selling us as potential clients to businesses and would most likely not want to get on that.

Maybe paypal wich already have wallets and widespread addoption could try to replace ads provider.

And then the new meta instead of making you scroll through a million ads to get to the content it will make you go to page 2 then 3 then 4… to get to the content to get many more cents XD

But yea i do agree that if the websites aked us to pay the same amount that they get from ads to not see them it would cost us a fraction of a penny. Just needs some kind of wallet that either the website or ad provider can take from to delete the ads.

Hopefully this surge in users make people want to develop for it a lot more and break more walls for others who are interested.

Telling people to stop doing something because it burns the planet doesn’t really changes their mind in general unfortunately. Best you can do is put the numbers in their face so that they can’t avoid the truth. But that only works on people who care.

I just sent feedback to google from the “my ad center” page describing the wallet idea to pay the ad price instead of watching the ad. Last time i sent youtube feedback they didn’t come back to me but they did apply the change i was asking for. So we never know.

exactly. If the price was as much as ads pay it would cost users fractions of pennies per view. They just charge paid users so much more then that for the same thing. Since google ads is one of the biggest ads supplier we could technically have a wallet that substracts the ad value to not see it directly with google.

If people aren’t ready to see an ad or pay to support something. Then maybe they don’t deserve that thing.
