I’m traumatized by their installer. lol. I think fedora’s new installer is fantastic. I can’t wait for Bazzite to use it, too.

I have a gigabyte MB. Thankfully, nothing bad happened. I disabled it again. Fuck BF6 and fuck EA.
At this point, I’m starting not to feel bad for people who put themselves through this shit. Using windows nowadays is like staying in an abusive relationship while you have an actual chance to get out, then complaining about it. Linux works no problem. And if a software/hardware vendor refuses to bring it to Linux, then you vote with your wallet. We need to let go of a bit of our love for “convenience” and try to be uncomfortable a tiny bit. Be a tiny bit inconvenienced.
Pretty sure that X is as good as clicking “remind me later”.
This genuinely stressed me out. 😂
And not even a fucking “don’t show again” option. Either “call” or “remind me later”. So there is no escape. Either take the ad in the ass or it’ll show up again. Fuck that
I was done with them a long time ago. I built my PC last year and made sure it is all AMD. Linux is so much better without Nvidia. It really is a just works system for me. It’s not perfect, but nothing really that I can’t manage.
Minor bug fixes and improvements
= Fuck you. We don’t care about you. We don’t even want to release shit for you, but we just have to put something out so people can leave us alone. I’ll never buy anything from Nvidia.
😂 story of my life with Anaconda on bazzite.
True, but you still have to visit more than one place to clean or have to run some commands to remove leftovers. There are those runtimes that you’ll have to remove when you remove flatpaks. Appimages are just one file and you’re good.
I remember wanting to try opensuse. I got to the installer and just noped out. I needed to manually partition things and it was so depressing to figure out. I have very little patience so I just scrapped that idea.
You use arch and have flatpaks? I never liked them. They’ve always been a burden for me. The idea of flatpaks on Arch just never crosses my mind anymore. I actually prefer even appimages over them. At least appimages bring their own baggage with them. Once you’re done with an app, you just delete it and it’s gone. The only place I use flatpaks and don’t even mind them is on my Bazzite Steam console. Because I only installed a couple of them (Sober and protonplus) since it’s a 100% gaming console.
You basically answered your own question, to be honest. Linux is clearly not for you. Look into windows 10 LTSC. Teksyndicate made a couple of videos about it. Here is the one where he shows how to install it. He is also stuck on windows because of music. And for debloating windows 10, look into Chris Titus’ Windows Utility script
For some reason, these local LLMS are straight up stupid. I tried deepseek R1 through ollama and it was straight up stupid and gave everything wrong. Anyone got the same results? I did the 7b and 14b (if I remember these numbers correctly), 32 straight up didn’t install because I didn’t have enough RAM.
Gnome boxes even downloads the iso for you. We should recommend it for new users over the other ones.
Figured. No problem. We are here to help. Don’t hesitate ask any of your questions.
Are you a new Linux user? This gnome tweaks.
Gnome themes do exist. Find something here and install it. Just create a .themes folder in your home directory and download a theme from this site. Extract the theme into the .themes folder you just created. Install gnome tweaks and go to town.
That’s ok. If they don’t want to bring it to Linux, then they don’t deserve your money.
