I wonder how many similar stuff need to happens before people realize they still need to keep their brains on when using AI and know what they’re doing.

I’ve just seen a draft PR with 60k lines added.
No, I’m not OK.
And I’ll definitely go: TL;DR , I refuse to take any responsibilities about this.

Will probably become so, LLM used badly will create disasters.

Yeah, it’s not something lots of people will care about. And some eventually stops at “choosing in instance”.

That’s the problem with changing social networks.
People goes where people are. So it takes some major scew up from the current networks. Or a newcomer that have some killer feature everybody will want / need.
And lemmy lacks that “killer feature”

Yeah, there are some occasions that justifies tones of lines of code.
Our ex tech lead had bitbucket going “nope” with a PR that was too big

I would probably use facebook much more if my feed was only my friends and followed pages. Their loss on insisting on this I guess.

Real problem is the availability of some software.

Kind of expected this.
Changed computer for others reason ( needed more power for some games) . I don’t hate win 11, it does the job.
But, expecting people to throw away computers that matched their need just to upgrade an OS? Nah!

How long can you be profitable if users are leaving though?

I never had trouble, so others never had trouble and are lying…
That’s kind of a shity and condescending attitude to have.
And the official ev3 app never worked. Ev3dev never had the same convenience.
It’s like saying you don’t nedd Photoshop because gimp exist.
And yeah, i grow tired of having to spend time on getting stuff to run that on windows is just “install and run” because the manufacturer / developer actually made sure it would work on windows.

Back then the LEGO mindstoms stuff was a problem. And my Logitech remote.
Not sure if that changed. Growed tired of dual boot, and went windows. The thing is, just one app or game you can’t use can screw up everything.

Yeah Linux’s biggest problem now is “oups, your application / driver isn’t available”
Not user friendlyness.

But they can’t force us to buy. Say they managed to fully stop piracy, there is still the solution not to buy stuff. It’s not like we need this to live, and we should do more of “vote with your wallet”. Money is the only language they get.

I just subscribe to max 2 services at a time.
And there are a few things I just didn’t watch because not worth it.

Or just you know, don’t push AI summary at all if you can’t make it reliable.
Well, before that I was already wondering if I should keep it because I don’t use it that much. That just settled the debate.
