Those are really decent specs! Which I had this kinda hardware sitting around. I’d probably try arch. Its kinda fun if you don’t break it.
Hey, don’t try this here. Linux users don’t go out ddj anyways.
I’m gonna be honest, this doesn’t feel like a safe space for bikini pictures at all.
Nice! I’m excited for the posts there, hope this community gets some attention.
That’s so oddly specific but I love it
I might be wrong but - can’t you just normally install another OS on Intel Macbooks?
My guess is that they can
I use a cheap hdmi splitter and a cheap usb capture stick and it works very well, although I don’t use anything more than 1080p60. No idea how to get Elgato hardware working, though. They don’t seem to have great Linux support.
🛹
love it
You probably have to find out what your hobbies and interests are and search / ask accordingly. And if you miss something, be the change you want to see and create new communities.
I personally avoid politics as much as possible, and found some great communities. Most prominently !lemmyshitpost@lemmy.world, !memes@lemmy.ml and !196@lemmy.blahaj.zone.
Edit: Oh. This wasn’t a question you asked, but rather a list of these communities, my bad. My advice still stands though.
I think that seems like a good idea
Ew, R*ddit
That’s what someone who logs messages would say.
That’s odd. Didn’t expect that change. To be honest, I don’t think the name will catch on
I think OP is fine with it being in this community.
Yes, that, in fact, is an unpopular opinion here.
i always thought /usr stood for “user”. Please tell me I’m not the only one
I was never on Reddit so I wouldn’t know, but I just don’t think there’s enough content to fill multiple communities. I might very well be wrong though
I’m just worried that this would lead to 3 dead communities instead of one thriving one. People forget that communities exist, if they don’t regularly see posts in their feed. It might also add a lot of moderating, trying to explain users where to actually post their image.
But I don’t know, maybe my worries are unwarranted.
I think a start would be to tell us which version of which distro you are using. Also, are you talking about LAN or WIFI?
