Internet providers would measure how much data each sender pushes to their customers
But what if my customers are pulling data rather than me sending data?

This is where I learned of it, but I’ve also hooked up unsloth desktop to the same obsidian knowledgebase. This way the long term memory persists across my LLM client tools. Right now I have it keep track of me and my preferences, my wife and her preferences, home lab architecture and documentation and technical project information for me and my wife.

Italian is a beautiful language, probably my favorite one.
As far as your post is concerned, I’m using qwen 3.8 27B as my main local LLM. I actually do have it push code to a github repo. Mainly because I have no real interest in learning the code it is writing, I’ve always been a back end and data person and I’m having it write web stuff. One thing I do a little differently is I make sure the model writes documentation up front and then at the end and also any steps it discovers, that it should remember into an MD file. This is so it doesn’t make the same mistakes over and over.
I also make sure it writes instructions for itself(or another model) and I will sometimes have another model check its work.
I have started implementing long term memory with obsidian as its “second brain”. This way I don’t have to keep explaining who I am or what we’re doing, what machines are available, what my preferences are, etc…
I think in a few weeks I’ll be able to grab my phone and start giving it tasks to do, using Hermes.
Nice write up. I appreciate you taking the time to share.

It’s clearly written by someone who is not a native English speaker. I noticed that in the first paragraph or so.
Or do you think an LLM would write “…i can finally say i am quite satisfacted”
This is not to crap on OP, I’m very impressed with their command of English.

I wonder if they targeted users they couldn’t tie back to real identities. I never used an account tied to a real identity or a real email address and all of my accounts were banned for pretty innocuous or specious reasons.
One was banned for advocating violence against women, because I called Kaitlyn Jenner an attention whore. One was banned for saying Luigi is a hero. Of course all attempts at appeals were ignored.

Whoosh!

Of course IBM has a hardware solution for you
Krishna also predicted demand for on-prem AI will spur sales of Big Blue’s Spyre mainframe accelerator cards.

So people should get free referrals to their site from google? Is that a right now?

My grievance isn’t so much with current household models with PCs sitting there running off solar (that’s starting to get very bloody specific though).
It’s actually my setup.

There was no consent, limited renumeration to individuals for using their work.
When I learn skills using books from the library, am I morally obligated to pay the authors a cut of my future earnings?

Here’s the thing, datacenters could be powersipping butterflies if they built solar farms and ground source heat pumps when they build out the data centers. But the Epstein class are too cheap, greedy and selfish to do that without being forced to. They are accustomed to having the government, directly or indirectly, lower their costs and guarantee them profits.

AI effectively raped and pillaged all human information
Copying information is not theft. Learning from copied information is not theft.
Theft is when you take something and deprive the owner of what you took. If I make a copy of your car, I am not stealing your car, you still have it and can drive it, wreck it, whatever.

These guys have read Sci-Fi where humans are governed by techno-feudalistic corporations and instead of seeing that as a cautionary tale, saw it as a roadmap.

Why use AI to read emails?
If you’ve had the same email address for the last thirty years, like me, you get a LOT of email. An email assistant is great.
Also, with proper prompting and a proper setup, email is not a vector for phishing emails because you’re not allowing your agent to click on links and enter in credentials(except for entering in the credentials for your email).
Also if you do any sort of AI email sending, you should have three different LLMs look it over before sending out and they must all be in agreement.

I’m terrified by the parallels between today and the rise of fascism in the early 20th century.

Many of these billionaires are hoping or trying to dismantle democracy and create some sort of techno feudalism where corporations rule. What’s disturbing is that many of these men have read sci fi where such techno feudalism is the norm and they seemed to have missed that such societies were never portrayed as being ideal or even good, they are always dystopic.

In Douglas Rushkoff’s “Survival of the Richest”, originally published on Medium on July 5, 2018, with the subtitle “The wealthy are plotting to leave us behind.”, Rushkoff describes accepting an unusually well-paid invitation to speak about “the future of technology” at a luxurious private resort. He expected roughly 100 investment bankers, but instead found himself sitting at a table with five extremely wealthy men from the hedge-fund world. Their questions shifted from cryptocurrency to whether New Zealand or Alaska would be safer during a collapse—and then to their bunkers.
A brokerage-house CEO who had nearly finished building an underground bunker asked, “How do I maintain authority over my security force after the event?”
By “the event,” they meant a catastrophe such as environmental collapse, social unrest, nuclear disaster, or an unstoppable virus. They worried that money would become worthless and their armed guards might take over. Rushkoff recounts them discussing combination locks on food supplies, disciplinary collars for guards, and robot security. His response was to treat their security personnel well and build relationships rather than rely on coercion.
They didn’t like that answer.

I can’t see the US ever introducing universal basic income
Recent polling shows 66% of Americans support Medicare for all. The people will demand UBI once it’s needed, the only question is whether the Epstein class will comply peacefully or not.

Sure we destroyed the planet, but for a while there we provided great shareholder value.
It was a joke. Most people don’t know the difference between upload and download or push versus pull.
