I don’t ever want to have to set up my PC again. Will Tumbleweed be good to accomplish this for a user used to Windows?
Not in my experience, but again that was quite some time ago - I think it was Android 6 the last time I did it.
ETA: although now that I think about it, it was technically done in an “unsafe” manner by exploiting vulnerabilities. For the more safety-concerned, maybe a wipe was preferred.

The article implies simply rooting will do - something I haven’t done in quite a while, but last I knew didn’t involve wiping your existing setup.
That is why I specified “less extreme,” but yeah, that’s fair.
Less extreme Leftists generally aren’t nearly as likely to be control freaks as the right (although there are always exceptions), so getting them (as a group) angry enough to fight takes much more effort than it does the right.
Normally I’d say Sling didn’t have a prayer under this administration, but Disney has pissed everybody off - including the Grand Cheeto - so I’m just gonna go stock up on some popcorn…
