They actually have a problem with workers or the lack of them and they have invested heavily in robotics. They aren’t the China of the 70s and 90s. It’s really something that we need to face up to if we want to compete but our political class isn’t really ready for that sort of reality. Years behind because of smugness.
While they are subsidised, the Chinese are really good at low cost manufacturing. It’s not the cheap labour anymore but factory automation and robotics. They really outclass anyone else.

I can understand the allure of services like Google or Microsoft for business. The bit I don’t understand is why businesses think that storing all their IP and business data on these platforms is good business. All these services scrap data for their AI and are always looking for market advantage which is obviously an excellent reason to given them custody of all your data.
Can only say that I have limited interest in Nazi space companies.

The Canon driver needs to be installed on Fedora and has never worked out of the box without some tweaking. Canon is not really in the Linux support game.
The Canon Pixma has always problematic for me with driver issues.
I suppose that once you have laws that allow blocking one type of site then other sites will be pretty easy to be added. A precedent sort of thing. Done once then others will follow.

I use KVM and put Windows in a VM for those things that it still is needed for. Don’t use it much these days. Dual booting was just too difficult.
