I still use Kodi on my AppleTV for videos I’m not self hosting. With the Seren add-on and an Alldebrid account I can just stream videos of the internet in high quality (often BluRay quality)

Yeah it’s slow but it’s the only app that supports debrid streaming that can be installed on an AppleTV and I can’t be bothered to buy an android box or hookup my PC to my TV that sits on the other side of the house.

Same with Photoshop, Maya etc. These corps know that letting consumers pirate their software will create more legit end users. I have a Steam Deck and it can not play Horizon Zero Dawn at 60fps at least not at a graphics setting and resolution that looks decent. I have never hooked up my Deck to a TV but I can imagine that game would look horrible if I aim for 60fps.

Only if it’s still cached on their servers. If the torrent has zero seeders and it’s not cached even the debrid sites can’t complete the download on their side.

recently I got a subscription to AllDebrid.com and just connect that with Kodi + Seren or Stremio + Torrentio. Alldebrid is a torrent cache server, if you add a torrent to their site it usually is already cached on their side and then you can download the files at your maximum speed. It’s great for streaming high quality Blu-rays with Kodi or Stremio (which have built in scrapers, so no need to manually add torrents). Just google a tutorial with Kodi+Seren+Alldebrid or Stremio+Torrentio+Alldebrid. The sub is super cheap. And game torrents, like from fitgirl, are also cached on there.
