Is the reason other manufacturers aren’t using silicon carbide because they don’t have easy access / manufacturing lines to the tech, it’s too expensive, or it’s not proven in terms of reliability? I mean I can excuse Samsung because of the note 7 issue but I haven’t exactly heard anything bad coming from this tech yet.
I’ve always pronounced it lib-ray
Yeah there are times where I’d want to make a community but the necessity of moderation makes it a big hurdle to even want to begin that process.
One suggestion I saw a while ago was to use more general communities for things you’re interested in and as it grows then the more niche communities can be made. Ex: post about a specific game you like in gaming up until enough people like it to make a sub for that game. Or post about a song you don’t know in asklemmy until enough people do that to make whatsthissong
I totally get wanting the niche communities and, personally, I just lurk reddit completely not voting, posting, or commenting unless as a last resort if I really need to find info that Lemmy isn’t able to provide.
It’s a slow process and I don’t think there’ll be another boost of users in Lemmy until reddit does another thing that enshittifies it to annoy people to leave.
There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of their game music library on it. ToTK isn’t even on there.
I never would’ve expected to see MySims come back.
I wouldn’t say anything specifically better or worse compared to sync but it’s close enough, feature wise, that I found myself using it more and there’s no ads.
I used to only use Sync coming from reddit. No other app was able to replace it until I started using Summit. Now Summit is pretty much all I use for Lemmy.
On their GitHub:
Supported cloud providers Celeste can currently connect to the following cloud providers:
Dropbox Google Drive Nextcloud Owncloud pCloud Proton Drive WebDAV
That’s pretty cool all things considered I didn’t think a 3rd party client could be made for drive
Well that sucks. I’d like to continue hiding it but I imagine it’s to enable the circle to ai search thing.
I thought Gemini nano was supposed to run on device but the article is saying it’s cloud based?
Is there a face swap feature similar to the pixel best take thing or is it just moving objects and erasing?
Same I legit think it could’ve been Google’s actual competition to iMessage but they fumbled the bag so badly it’s crazy.
Man that would be nice. Could finally have it be all in one again like Google Hangouts before it was killed.
They may have fixed it recently then. This was something I had to do for the Samsung tablets we got for my nephews earlier this year.
Not exactly Disney plus but I had a similar issue regarding downloading Netflix shows to an SD card. There’s a setting in Netflix to download to SD card however even if you select it, it won’t work. You have to enable USB debugging and manually force the Netflix app to have SD card access. It’s insane.
I probably could’ve been clearer I guess what I meant was a hardware company making a competitor
I guess by competitor I mean in the sense that’s like a free service that doesn’t harvest data and is e2e. Only thing I can think of with mild adoption rates is signal although I think that it’s also my bias since I use it. Hardest part is being able to run these services with little to no income from the service and apple is able to get away with it since they make money off of other stuff.
I bought the game and was looking forward to it. The first mini game that I played on it reminded me of those slop mobile games and was really disappointed lol.
