Yeah I used to have one, I only replaced it when the battery started going. I loved that phone, it was solid yet so light! I have a 6a now which is great but so much heavier than the 4a.

Yeah they’re not doing it for 4a, Google might offer you a voucher to replace your phone.

But this is just for the 9a, the 9 has the superior chip. The “a” models have always been smaller and lower spec, and therefore cheaper.

Yeah I agree. I think it’s pretty amazing that so many people are continuing to use Lemmy after the initial migration. I’d have been more surprised if there was no drop off, as you’re obviously going to get some people who’d try it and it’s not for them.

Yeah, totally this! Also, I’m just super uncoordinated and I was constantly swiping in slightly the wrong direction so it never did what I wanted it to do. You know where you stand with a button 😆

Yeah this is what I do. I tried gestures but I really prefer the buttons.

Lemmy.world has been down a lot, I’ve been trying to use it but half the times I’ve logged on it’s been down. So that might be part of it?

Oh is that true? So when I search for an instance on the app I use (Connect) is the list of communities that appear only there because people have subscribed to them once? Or am I seeing everything but it won’t appear in everyone’s feed until I subscribe to it?

How can I switch it out? I use Nova launcher so can change some stuff, but things like the notification bar and lock screen are an abomination. I wish I’d never updated my phone.

Eh, I really dislike the Android 14+ skin. I was hoping it wouldn’t stick around but looks like it’s here to stay for now.
