Try different sorting algorithms too (like scaled)
Also try different Fedi Software too like Peertube
If you take the time to do that you have a rabbithole to loose yourself in easily

“keep things tidy in the fediverse”
BSky is APproto & Fediverse is ActivityPub
Only because they can be bridged does not mean that BSky is actually part of the fediverse
Edit:
just noticed this is the wrong community
also: “repossts” :p
I opened the gaming on linux page for wuthering waves and its marked as broken
I personally just managed to install the game but with my minimal effort attempt it does not actually work
(installing the exe from their home page and then adding proton ge 10-8 & SteamOS=1)
Maybe needs the steam ww install but i dont have enough time to download a 60gb game
Less a specific linux tip but look into Ventoy, it can carry multiple bootable ISOs and its just useful (reduces the amount of ISO Sticks to 1)
There is an exploit used by scammers to change the official support number from summaries to theirs.
I dont know exactly how it works but its bad when you call the indian it support instead of your airline supportdesk
There are phone vendors like murena (not a manufacturer i think) who have some privacy OS preinstalled so you dont have a rooted phone that gets blocked for “privacy concerns”
If you are unsure if the apps you need work you can install waydroid on linux
Felt that too. Its throwing all providers in one bucket which makes it very hard to judge
“what made it interesting was that it was planned support miltiple UIs”
you may are interested into looking into the various LemmyUIs or Lemmy close alternatives like piefed when you like to test out frontends to see their quirks
had to look it up, seems like it
dont know Yunohost
CasaOS is not an operating system and more like a GUI for Docker with access to the terminal via said GUI (at least thats how i used it)
I personally think thats a very good option if you simply want to use an old PC to host stuff and test around but its limited in its scope so if you want things like RAID you need other or additional solutions
TrueNAS is an operating system Might be overkill for a newbie and i think it was ressource intensive but offers a lot of features in return like RAID
Cant really say more because i did not visit the websites recently
At least for me its not important what kind of person he is.
I quite like that a very influental person in the gaming sphere promotes linux gaming.
Because more users means more content and support
my original point was more that atProto maybe was inspired by the “decentralized distribution of data” that p2p has
In my brain i somehow got the idea that anyone could theoretically access the data without going through bsky and trying to write my guess down i somehow got spun up on that paragraph
sorry if i got you wrong again
i forgot the DIDs
Oh no
After reading the article i think you might be wrong with this one.
From what i got now is that there are 3 layers
First is storage which can be completly or is decentralised
Then backend/server/application layer which can be bsky or whatever ticktok alternative gets made which is not decentralised
and then user layer/view which depends on the application
What i want to say is that the relay can be exchanged through something else and then entirely including moderation and all
So pro atProto is:
And pro ActivityPub is:
pro ActivityPub? (unsure about the technical details)
I think they meant mostly the decentralised distribution of data.
At the end of “Generic hosting, Centralised product development” it says
Even though product development is centralized, the underlying data and identity remain open and universally accessible as a result of building on atproto. Put another way, ownership is clear for the evolution of a given application, but since the data is open, it can be reused, remixed, or extended by anyone else in the network.
So theoretically everyone can access the data but before it reaches the end users it goes through centralised applications like bsky
I know all you guys comment about fediverse(activityPub) is not bsky(atprotocol) but can we enjoy this stupid quote for a moment?
However, if the internet is functioning properly and you have a computer, an internet connection, and an IP address you can host a document on the web.
That statement is so redundant.
“internet functioning properly” = “an internet connection”
and you cant have an internet connection without an ip adress. On Lan you may have the option to let the device decide BUT it still needs one!
I dont think the entire article is bad or something but let me have my nitpickings.
If wine does not work try adding the game in steam and use proton that way.
For ppx SoftMaker is better, for Documents that have objekts can leave the paperarea (even partial) like circles i suggest using LibreOffice draw
Yesterday i managed to successfully host a simple html safely (its more of a network test)
The path is nginx->openwrt->router to internet
Now i only need to:
and then i can throw everything i want on it :D
Would be funny if it was death stranding
