Maybe this gives me a false sense of security but I bought the adguard pro on social stack (I think…). I just turn all of the connections off on gemini, meta and Bixby. Like this

Unfortunately they’re by a Canadian author and I haven’t seen them even at my local library even.
It’s “The Power of a Playlist” and the workbook as well
If I’m using lidarr with Windows can this still be done or is this a Linux only thing? I checked out the website for soularr and it looks like it’s Linux or docker only.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. I used plex for free for the better part of a decade. Bought lifetime when a raise was coming and it was still $140 (kicking myself because at one point with a sale I was looking at something like $45).
I’ve used plex pass enough, and it’s my main driver for all our entertainment outside of music and audiobooks that if they asked for some more money, I wouldn’t care so much.
The ease of use, the UI, and remote access without having to jump through a bunch of hoops is worth it.
No shade to Jellyfin, but it’s not nearly as dumb dumb friendly.
I try to use Foss but only when it’s a lateral move. I tried Linux mint. It came close but there were so many little things that just didn’t make sense to me as someone who used windows for the last 25 years. Do I want to use Windows 11? No, especially with everything they’ve been doing to it. But in terms of usability, the sacrifices that I make by using Windows 11 outweigh the extra work, frustration, and time spent trying to figure out Linux (tried 3 different distros too).
I have 3 little kids, a full time job and aging parents. I don’t have hours every day to try and make stuff work.
Here’s the thing though, for the average plex user (myself included) you’ve already used too many acronyms and words I don’t understand. Plex serves a purpose for a lot of people, people who are even willing to pay for it to be easy.
Kind of reminds me of Netflix before anyone else did streaming. They had so much stuff I stopped sailing.
Pardon my ignorance, but how it this different from vimms?
I went back to check. This is correct. It’s the un official one in f-droid.
My bad!
It could be but I find the android app buggy (this month I’ve been using bookwyrm, GR, Open Reads, and The Story Graph to compare them all and still nothing is as smooth as GR. Plus bookwyrm has no apple app. I love where Bookwyrm is going but right now the switch is not the best
I did the same thing!
Found Orpheus but couldn’t for red - thanks!
Stupid question I think but since this isn’t private, I should use a VPN?
Im sure this is a dumb issue, but all I can find are guides for these trackers. Are there links somewhere or are they hidden from web searches?
Which tracker(s) do you use for music? I’m looking into ditching $potify
Canada for me!
I’m kinda over this conversation. I posted asking for input, not someone being argumentative. If you had a stronger argument, maybe I’d change my ways and look into what you’re saying. I politely tried to say I hear you, but I’m good with what I do and you keep digging. At no point have you said anything that makes a strong case, helpful to what I asked or isn’t dismissive. Have a good night
I imagine it must be nice living in a place where your government doesn’t care. Enjoy your free torrents. I’m ok with a few bucks here and there
I used to pay for a VPN and torrent everything but I’ll be honest, $ for $ it costs the same or less AND there is way more selection. I’m ok to pay a little for a better service. I don’t have to figure out what’s streaming on what and I get high quality tv and movies for pennies on the dollar. Even if I went the “free” route I still have to pay for a vpn
This looks cool!
Unfortunately I don’t know anything about Python or docker… Thanks for the link, maybe I’ll try and figure this out on my next holiday.
I assume it’s better to leave it and have it not work, then them sneak it on without me knowing or baking it into something else
