You too can get his by disabling history

It adds hdr support to vulkan drivers that don’t have hdr support I think, it used to be a thing for all gpus but I assume nvidia’s implementation is faulty somehow

Apparently hdr wsi is still required on nvidia, my problems went away once I enabled that

Nevermind, I just tried it with proton-em and remembered what happened last time. It can be turned on but it looks like a grayscale filter on the screen so it’s better left off.

Also tried control with proton-em but the hdr looks super wrong on that game now but not sure if it is because proton em or if the new built in hdr setting is not as good as the hdr mod that I used to use

Edit: just tried with witcher 3 too, never tried it before but it is also desaturated, maybe a bit less than crysis tho. Also with hdr enabled framegen started artifacting like crazy

I don’t think those two facts are related? Your isp doesn’t need to connect to its servers from within your local network to track your internet usage. Something else in your network must be trying to connect to that domain

I don’t think so. Most of the generated heat is dissipated instantly. The processor warms up until either it’s running at the necessary load or reached its max temp. The temps could increase slightly over time due to the air / liquid temperature (and non heat generating parts of the computer) heating up but that won’t dissipate in a minute

Every time I face a weird bug that I can find no reference to online it turns out to be caused by a native linux build. I’ve seen the linux port work well only in factorio and some other game that I can’t remember.

Edit 3: Installed wayland enabled proton to try. If the game doesn’t crash, screen scaling doesn’t work and nether do controllers, steam overlay or hdr. Definitely not ready

Might be game specific. I don’t know how to solve the issue but maybe you could try opening the game in a different virtual desktop and switching desktops and see if that causes it. Or press the meta key and see if that causes it too

How does powering on an ssd help keep the data? Can it refresh without causing wear equivalent to a rewrite?

Just tried running it with mangohud but mangohud doesn’t show up for some reason. But I ended up switching back and forth between proton and linux versions and the linux version just started performing well for no apparent reason. Didn’t update the os or anything. Thanks everyone for sending my pc good vibes :)

I have the assistant disabled entirely because I find its gesture annoying. Gemini force enabled it back a couple days ago.

Newer sshd versions have built in timeout options btw
