If you want a Linux handheld, why not buy a Steam Deck? What does this do better than the Deck?
Is the deer the Libreboot logo? Mine has a rabbit (Coreboot). I flashed Coreboot on my old Chromebook a couple of years ago and it’s been running different flavours of linux since without any fuss.
That’s a pretty nice bundle. The games I would want from that bundle are already in my collection, but if they weren’t, I’d be all over it!
Amazing! OP Delivers!
Same here. I’ve been on Pop OS for the past three years with a GTX 980ti, and have only had a few driver issues that were easily fixed. There’s usually a guide on how to fix it on System76’s homepage soon after the issue is discovered. Generally I’ve been very happy running Pop on my gaming rig. I’ve tried other distros (Manjaro and Garuda) but Pop has been the one to stay installed the longest.
I’ll be following your progress closely!
I read that as Diarrhea 4 and thought “fuckers will make a game out of anything these days”, gave it another think at realized it sounded kind of interesting, in a South Park kinda way. Then reread the title. Slightly disappointed “Diarrhea 4” wasn’t a game.
It’s good that they’re fixing stuff, but there might be other reasons for that.
I’d expect it if they ever release a Tf3, though.
Is anybody still holding their breath waiting for that? I think Star Citizen will be released before Tf3.
Finally a game my gtx 980ti can officially run! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen that , but it still runs most stuff just fine. Quite a little trooper, that card 🙂
I think I saw a teaser years ago, it may have been in development since then or the thing I’m thinking about was something completely different, but I remember the green army men being featured…
Cool. I’ll look into this. I haven’t used Lutris much, since Heroic has been launching most of my non-Steam games just fine.
I believe Dell even has some models that come with Linux preinstalled.
I’m not sure, but it looks like the Stadia controller…
Edit: sorry, no it’s not the Stadia controller. My bad
I found Garuda to be bloated when I tried it out, but I didn’t try it on a beefy gaming rig, so maybe my system was just underpowered? I use Pop!_OS on my gaming rig and have had very few problems with it (most problems I’ve had are because I use a(n?) Nvidia GPU) and those problems have been easily solved.
Nah, people aren’t smug about using POP OS it’s more like Ubuntu for gamers.
Yes. Whenever it’s fitting to say “fuck Nvidia!” So likely forever and ever and always.
I’ve told this story on here before, but here it is again: I used to write for a very Windows-centric computer magazine, and after a couple of years I noticed that most of the content I was writing was about how to make Windows behave less like Windows. So I thought I’d give Linux a go, and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve had phases when I tried convincing all my friends to make the switch, but I’ve realized that it’s just not for everyone. I don’t think I’m obsessed, I don’t customize my desktop much, I just want my system to work smoothly.
