I use this approach sometimes and it really works. Provided it’s the erm… simple type of crowd that doesn’t ask too many questions lol. They’ll wander around and figure it out. If they do, congratulations😂

YES I fuckin love the 👶 emoji on Voyager! There’s been a lot more and they make me smile inside like little 🌱s on FFXIV. Do other apps have them to indicate new users?

I don’t care for awards in general, but having one for donating to the instance could work as an incentive.

The one feature I’m missing that’s not on Lemmy is flairs. They’re particularly useful for sports communities or anything location/region based:)

Me too. I don’t get how people can’t get past the choosing a server and I’m not a techie. Like have you ever played a video game and had to join a server? It’s not that complicated! Lol. People are such lame giver uppers.
