Nah. It is DOS with Norton Commander.

iPhone XS Max, 2018. The only reason I might update is for the better camera. But this is marginal. I tend to buy one of the top line iPhone once in about 5 years, with enough memory. And they last long time. I might consider changing battery instead and get another 2 years… Apple is also super good with software updates on old hardware.
Call me lazy, but I like terminal 1. Usually shortest distance from the station building.
What happened with Ubuntu? I tried Linux once, like 15 years ago, and Ubuntu just worked.
Actually, torrent clients download files, not torrents.
No, that’s different. People kill people, not guns.

So, why can’t I buy and sell license?
Quite possible. But chance of non-technical person to do Windows install on new computer is zero. Re-instal, on the other hand, is very easy - I have done it couple of times.
If your hardware happens to be supported, everything should work out of the box without the need to install drivers;
Is not it true with Windows? Plug and play? And while I did not study this, I strongly suspect that it is more true for Windows than for Linux.
After many weeks spend on downloading and installing various things for linux, he complains that he needs to download drivers for windows, a process that will take one afternoon or less. Makes sense. I understand that Linux is a tech toy for a techy, but pretend that somehow it is easier installation and setup than windows for average person is just dishonest. Even which flavor of linux one should install creates a stupor for non-tech person (or a person who never used linux).
So, use the phone instead.
Purchased paper books will survive too.
For karma whores this means that they will flood the fediverse with cross-posts, posting into all possible and mismatched for topic communities. I am against this. Already I see duplicates and triplicates on my Home Screen.
Just ban them yourself, and you will end up with tankie free community.
Yes, usually they know your name (you have to register) and which apps (or HDMI ports if you do not run apps) you run and for how long. That’s about it. Google knows way, way more about me.
Can you explain why do you advise to avoid internet?
It is copyright violation, not stealing. Yes, it is damaging to the content creator, under current economic and law structure, but it is not stealing. If you burn a house belonging to the content creator, you do not call it stealing, just because it is damaging to them. So, why do you insist on calling it stealing here?
On a side note, one can incision a society where there is no copyright. In that society it would be completely lawful and “non-damaging” to copy things. Copyright is an artificial construct that we choose to have, but it does not mean that we can not rejected (we, as in the whole society, not individual)
First, it is not just lemmy, it is the fediverse (replying to you from kbin.social - my preferred cup of tea). Second, I see that the mostly good people/posters are leaving Reddit, I do not see, for example, personal attacks when people disagree here in fediverse, I see no removed/moderated comments or posts. I am sure it happens here too, it is just so rare… it reminds me of the days of mass migration from digg. So, at least for now I think this is great, and it separates people who are ready to stand for principles from the rest. Welcome.
Unrelated, but it is interesting that people ask for addictive games rather than for good games. Those are not the same.
