  • I just want an Xperia Play 2. Make it a foldable this time around—and as thin as a Samsung Fold 7 (with screens just as large, so it just looks and feels like a normal phone when closed)—and I’m completely sold.

The original was an excellent idea squandered. Had Sony continued to invest in the idea, I could see future Play phones not only being a proper followup to the Vita we never had, but also a major competitor to the Steam Deck (Edit: Switch 2 as well).

Come on Sony, be innovative again like you used to. Give me what I want, no, what I need.

  • The space it takes up is negligible in the modern era of cheap SSDs (and even cheaper hard drives).

The main benefit is not in being able to hear a difference from 320Kbps mp3 (I know I sure can’t), but knowing that you can re-encode the file as many times as you want, without any quality loss (assuming you’re going from lossless to lossless, of course). Or create an mp3 from the flac file at any time, with the same quality as a ripped CD.

So basically FLAC is great if you produce/edit/re-encode your music files often. If you don’t do any of that (and have no plans to future-proof your music collection), then 320Kbps MP3 is more than adequate for your needs.

  • You had me in the first half, not gonna lie.

Fuck the haters—you don’t have to pander to them. I like crypto too, and I don’t give a flying fuck how many times I get downvoted for saying that.

Investing in BTC and ETH has made me thousands over these past 3 years or so (I can send screenshots as proof to any naysayers). All because I ignore the haters and keep stacking sats. So why the fuck would I listen to anyone who calls it a “sCaM”? But I digress; it’s not my fault that people are stupid.

  • I’ve already tried Linux with an Nvidia GPU. The driver is bare bones. You don’t get the Nvidia App or even the Nvidia Control Panel. That means no 3D Settings page, no RTX HDR, no Shadowplay, no game filters, no video upscaling in Firefox… All features that I paid money to have and use daily.

Point I’m making is that I didn’t spend a bunch of money on a 4090, onlyto not be able to fully utilize every feature it has to offer.

  • I can’t believe that no one has asked you this question yet (fucking fanboys…):

Do you mind losing access to most features on your GPU, including (but not limited to): RTX HDR, Shadowplay, the Nvidia App, the Nvidia Control Panel and everything it offers, including the 3D Settings page?

If any of this matters to you, you may want to consider switching to an AMD GPU first before you consider Linux. Nvidia does not support it nearly as well as they support Windows. You get a driver that lets you run games, and that’s about it.
