How would they connect a serialized part to a purchase if the serial number is completely gone? I guess 3d printing would also allow those who are unable to legally buy the parts to get them too.

For sure. I meant that as a point for why i would prefer to have that phone as my primary phone rather than a separate keyboard add on. But yeah that idea of it as a serving phone is bizarre except for as work/business phones.

This isn’t necessarily true. Last year my wife was kidnapped from our home. Would have had no lead or direction if it weren’t for my neighbor’s security camera picking up the perpetrator’s truck coming down the driveway and back up it after. That was the only thing that helped me figure out what the fuck happened and for law enforcement to get her back (after a ridiculous amount of community pressure that night).
