I haven’t tried it, but the live kernel updates feature is what intrigues me the most.

If you install the latest Kubuntu with backports enabled, you can get a newer version of KDE than the one that comes “stock” with Kubuntu. The KDE version isn’t as new as KDE Neons’, but still newish.

AI is going to make customer service so much worse than it is now. Makes me want to be a customer as infrequently as possible.

Something I think is related is that after some time, I can’t click the x on a tab to close it, but I can do middle click (L & R at the same time) to close a tab. When this happens, I also can’t get into the address bar. Just started seeing this with the last update (currently on 139.0.1) snap version.

I use Kubuntu. I like the KDE desktop and I like a Debian based OS. If someone is going to make their software for Linux, it will almost certainly be available at least for Debian. If, say you want it for Arch, you need to wait for someone to put it in the AUR or build it yourself.

RSS (RDF Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) It is in use a fair amount, but it is usually buried. Many people don’t know it exists and because of that I am afraid it will one day go away.

I find it a great simple way to stay up to date across multiple web sites the way I want to (on my terms, not theirs) By the way, it works on Lemmy to :)

I wouldn’t recommend the Pinetab2 at this time. It isn’t fully functional.

Check out CoreCtrl It can control CPU and GPU fans and has lots of options.

Not specific advice, but make sure all the programs you use are available and where/how you will get them.

Where in KDE are those settings? I see Flatpak permissions listed in Discover (bottom of right panel,) but you can’t change them there. Not sure where else to look. I’ve been using Flatseal but if it isn’t needed …

That sorts on the comments of all posts, not just the ones I am interested in.

The ability to “subscribe” to a thread so you could be told when anyone adds to the thread. I don’t understand how people follow a thread without this. You would have to constantly be going back to it (over and over) to seeing if anything was added.

If you are using Ubuntu, they have live patch available. You have to sign up for Ubuntu Pro, but that is free for individuals. I just heard about this and haven’t tried it yet https://ubuntu.com/security/livepatch

MX Linux only because I have it on some very old 32 bit laptops and it supports 32 bit. I don’t really know why I keep those laptops around but they are functional.

They are both rolling releases. Rhino is based on Ubuntu and BlendOS is based on Arch. The difference is that Blend OS lets you install software from supported distributions (Arch, Fedora, and Ubuntu) into containers. Rhino (as far as I know) out of the box doesn’t do that.

Can’t wait for Kubuntu to get it!
