I’ve been using obsidian and signal for a while but I’m thinking of setting up a nextcloud instance and using the notes app in that.

There was a time that I actually would have cared about this. I used to use the shopping list feature in keep all the time and I would use Google assistant to add items. When Google randomly decided to switch to adding items to Google Express instead of keep when asking Google assistant to add items to my shopping list, it was such a small thing but it made me realize that I didn’t want to give control of my digital life over to Google to manipulate on a whim. Since then, I have nearly entirely degoogled my life and I can’t really say I’ve been inconvenienced.
Would be a cool feature if it could be leveraged in a secure, private, efficient way that was more useful than 99% of the algorithmic monkey typewriter garbage that’s on the market these days. I don’t need a glorified Cleverbot rifling through my unspeakables.
Thanks for the ELI5. I read the article but had a hard time parsing the significance other than Nvidia proprietary drivers bad
Depends on if their business model works. If enough people are paying for premium and using the free version of the app to pay for development, there is no reason for them to increase the amount of ads. In fact, if they do show too many ads, it will likely push a lot of users to alternate apps.
I really don’t get some of these comments. I’ve been using popos on and off since it came out. I would check out gnome extensions to see if anything sticks out to you as being useful for your use case. I would also go into your settings and update your recovery partition. This is also the place to refresh your PC if you need in the future which has been a must-have for me.
