I own a large 8k Samsung TV I normally play ps5 on. I don’t think I like HDR is what I’m learning. For my birthday recently I was gifted a ps portal ( I think my wife wants me off the tv lol) the screen honestly looked better than the TV to me. I figure I must have the HDR settings all wrong. I don’t know what else it could be. I think pc gaming in genral likes tinkering, I just like things to work. I was shocked how much better my games looked on this little 1080 screen. It was wild honestly.

I’ll probably pick up a switch 2 because I like Mario Kart. The game will end up looking good enough for me.

Overall I agree with your statement but not the sentiment they are being as cheap as possible. I think they are just recognizing that some stuff doesn’t mater to everyone.

And honestly people pushing graphics above all else miss out on good games anyway.

I appreciate it. Since the switch 2 announcement especially I’ve been seeing Lemmy as a whole as a much more negative space than before. I think this new rule will help atleast in this community.

Yeah. And the lack of a decent option off device. I was trying to check if a first party game was on sale on the Mar 10 day sales and it a nightmare from my phone. If there is a way to just look at “Nintendo” games I could not find it.

Honestly, I wasn’t going to get a camera. I don’t really play with people I know often enough to want or need it. Then they showed this, and I am probably getting it regardless. Too cute. Hope it works with a regular computer, and I’ll use it at work.

Yeah but isn’t PlayStation sometimes the upgrades included all the controller features and audio features that didn’t exist for ps4. Games like Death Stranding charged for their upgrades ($10 I believe) but it massively changed the feel of the game. Many other games were free. Put the disk in and it automatically installed the ps5 version, or you had to click something on the shop and it upgraded. Other than death stranding every game that I did an upgrade path for was free and there were a lot of them.

I mean the first sentence answered the question. It was available for a limited time due to 35th anniversary. It’s a dumb reason but the answer is right there.

Interesting I just saw another handheld Linux device on YouTube earlier today that is launching soon. Namely the Pilet. I’m kinda interested in something like this. Though I’m not sure for what.
