The study you linked does not claim what you say it does. In fact, participants were not even tested on pen and paper writing at all, only digital tablet writing and typing.

I ran the numbers for my jurisdiction. For just tax, it comes out to 21%. If you add employment insurance, the socialized healthcare premium, and government pension (these are all mandatory) it goes up to 27%.
If you invest 20% of your take-home in retirement, that brings you to a 44% deduction, but I gently question whether you should do that if you’re struggling to put food on the table.

Funny. I went to Walmart a month or so ago and picked up a crown of broccoli, but it didn’t have a tag. The self checkout attendant just estimated the cost (which was slightly cheaper than the actual price) and added a custom entry. It wasn’t a product sold by weight, but still.
But immediately dismissing people’s problems is the Linux way. Linux is perfect, I had no issues with it, so if you have any issues you’re simply wrong!

I’ve heard that newer generations are becoming less tech literate on average than previous generations. They don’t try to fix their device, they just expect it to work. When it doesn’t, they don’t have the troubleshooting skills to fix it. They never had the opportunity to learn them.
So make the reader area bigger and allow people to add all their digits. I think when the iPhone had the home button the reader accepted 10 fingers.
