9 days agoHe’s upset because people are bothering him for packages that are out of his control. A similar thing happened recently with OBS where a distro was packaging it in a non-standard way, iirc.

7·3 days agoVideos showing that there is almost no difference between the gaming performance of distros, is not entirely devoid of value, I’d argue, because it is a piece of information that might be useful to someone deciding between distros.

As far as I know, that’s not the case. Maybe some UEFI implementations by some vendors can extract the UEFI firmware that’s embedded in the exe file. But, UEFI doesn’t run exe files.

I recommend looking for refurbished laptops. As they’d give you better bang for buck. If you do indeed to with refurbished laptop, check everything thoroughly before buying including how long the battery lasts and if the display has any deffects.

It would indeed be a waste of time. So, no, not worth it.
With all the AI safety talks going on, I think one of the key points that’s being overlooked, is that many new voters will consult LLMs regarding whom to vote for. Such models can be turned into propaganda machines.
