I found PopOs in my experience when first switching full time to Linux was awful . I literally couldn’t get a single game to run . I switched to Ubuntu and had a lot less issues but when using alot of different applications like lutris and yuzu the version on the Ubuntu software app where outdated and gave alot of issues so most software I downloaded from other places . Right now I have 90% of what I want working but might switch distros again soon or at least doing a fresh install since I have installed alot of stuff when learning and testing. Also virtual machines won’t work since updating to the latest kernel .
But either way don’t use pop
Not me ! But not everyone has a PC that can store tons of movies and shows so they don’t have much other choice . There’s one streaming service that I think is only in Canada called crave that charges an extra $10 to watch on anything other than your phone it’s just the worst .
It’s just cable tv all over again. Pay for 8 services to get a handful of shows you want to watch with the other 90% not being touched , now with ads creeping back in too .
Most smaller creators don’t have a content manager .
There is a lot of unique creators on OF and unless you have thousands of subscribers you probably aren’t going to be able to find pirated content easily. Also you can get custom content and talk directly to the creator . And from knowing people personally it’s alot more work than you think to make money on OF .
That’s even more annoying because the game will run . It just boots you out before you touch the ground. I was thinking about playing it again lately but I can’t build with controller like I can with a keyboard and mouse.
I’ve tried running fortnite on Linux . It installed fine started to play and then I get booted out because of the anti cheat . I believe the game would run fine if the anti cheat supported Linux .
Years ago I worked at a call center that had windows XP running on some type of mac mini PC .
I have 8 cards in mine and could probably fit another one or two . And have put a couple hundred dollars of 20s in my wallet. For change it mostly just goes in the center part of my car. Plus there is no Penny’s since I’m in Canada. Lonnie’s and quarters all go in my laundry change holder when I get home. So it works perfect for my usage atleast.
I bought sync for Reddit a few years ago but as a one time fee and it wasn’t really to get rid of ads but to support the developer. I wouldn’t pay a monthly fee . I have sync for Lemmy now but don’t pay any fees because there was no one time fee option.
I’m a big fan of my ridge wallet that I heard about through various YouTubers. I actually lost mine on a busy road and it got run over by a bunch of cars and when I relocated thanks to my tile tracker that I also heard about from YouTubers it was still perfectly fine other than some scratches. I swear I’m not sponsored lol .
I will skip through sponsor spots if they are really long but I also have YouTube premium because I want to support the YouTubers that I watch alot without seeing ads . I’m just always surprised by the amount of people that will put a lot of effort into making sure they don’t see any ads of any kind but will also refuse to pay anything .
That’s a bit of a blanket statement. The way people talk about ads and sponsorships makes it sound like you want the people making the videos you are watching to fail and stop making videos. Or do you contribute to the channels you watch another way to ensure they can keep making money ?
Well they know what I downloaded but I dont really care . Is there anything my Canadian ISP can do ?
I did end up getting it to work by manually pairing it with bluetoothclt in terminal. And the usb problem was due to a shitty Usb cable .
Also is there anyway to get the sixaxis controls working for yuzu ?
I tend the comment more on posts with less comments. So if a post has thousands of comments already I’m not to going to leave a comment and will probably just read the top couple comments
I concur
I had a lot of issues with PopOs I just use Ubuntu for now.
