That is an issue.
i just realized that I didn’t finish the thought. Once self driving is statistically safer we will ban human drivers. Some places it will be by law, Some the more subtile insurance costs, some by something else.
We need to figure out liability of course. I have ideas but nobody will listen so noebuint in writting.
We have numbers already from all the human drivers caused death. Once someone makes self driving safer than humans (remember drinkingiisia factor in many human driver caused deaths and so non-drinkers will demand this be accountee for.
That is a low bar. However I have yet to see independant data. I know such exists but the only ones who talk have reason to lie with stastics so I can’t trust them.
What jury results do is cost real money - companies often (not always) change in hopes to avoid more.
Whichever peertube instance you are viewing the video from. Makertube, urbanists.video are two that I use
The website works fine. I don’t understand the app obcession people have. Though newpipe is an option if you must
Sure after a fashion you can work out some basics. don’t confuse that with knowing the language.
if your pace is that slow you will never make enough progress to learning the language. It takes hours of study every day to learn a language. You can go at a slower pace and that is okay - so long as you are not thinking you will learn the language in your lifetime.
one nas device with a lot of power and a vpn for the other houses might be better.
As I always say about duolingo, if you have not completed the course in 3 months you won’t learn a language with it. Duolingo is a good introduction when you don’t know anything about a language, but you need a lot of advanced materials they they don’t really have to become fluent.
Though if your goal is just to play a game and feel like you are learning something - well at least you get some vocabulary. It won’t teach you a language but that need not be your goal.
Maybe. There are ways to assign a private key that is not easy to extract. a chip that creates a private key on first poweron and then saves to internal memory for example.
Depends on the hash - some are tracable to a crypotographic public key and thus cannot be faked. Most are not but there are options that can be. Normally we refer to such things as signed not a hash but same thing to the layman who doesn’t understand this.
Asking about the culture and work environment is what you are supposed to be doing when they ask “are there any questions”. I’ve never had a problem finding a job where I’m expected to work about 40 hours and go home. Once in a while they ask for extra work in an emergency, but that is rare and they have all made it up to me somehow.
The protection isn’t great I’ll agree, but it isn’t hard to find places that don’t treat you like that. Don’t work for the rest no matter how interesting the job is.
Exempt employees are expected to get their work done, but the work does need to be reasonable. If they give you 40 hours of meetings you can have a good case they are asking too much to expect anything more. While hours are not given by law, there is still an expectation of reasonableness.
Which is to say they cannot fire you for not getting your work done. However at-will means they can let you go - but that is not firing you for cause and there is a big difference in how the law treats that.
That does happen. The law doesn’t back them up, but many companies have that culture and good luck proving you were let go because of that vs something that is legal.
There are plenty of jobs that are more reasonable. They tend to be boring jobs though, so many are willing to pay the price to work a more exciting job.
There are plenty of people who openly admit that they don’t want anyone to own guns. Gun control doesn’t have to mean you won’t be able to own guns, but it is a reasonable fear of those who want to own guns that it will mean they can’t.
The bigger point about cloud that most miss is make sure you are paying them a reasonably price for the service. So long as you are the customer and not the product the cloud can be good.
That has not been my experience. There is always more work to do than I have time. However it doesn’t pile up because lower priority work just doesn’t get done.
Just don’t allow an ai on the jury. If you are on a jury tell tpe judge you want the prosecuting lawyers disbarred for wasting your time.
