“AI is a disaster.” Fixed it for you.
There’s a term in hardware design called Mean Time Before Failure or MTBF. Essentially it means that the more parts a system has in it, the quicker it will fail. I think the ever increasing complexity of software tends to follow the same pattern.
I have a 6700xt and can confirm it’s just plug and play. No need to mess with those stupid Nvidia drivers, and the performance is pretty great.
Fuck this guy. When I was growing up a group of skin heads infiltrated our local punk scene, even though they liked the same bands as the rest of us, we fucking ran them out of every show. Felix deserves zero praise for his recent moves.
Stop giving him your attention.
I stand corrected.
Well, and I hadn’t thought of this, but maybe Ubuntu core is used to run game servers.
How do you use steam on Ubuntu core?
No it doesn’t. I love my steam deck, and have used it to emulate many Nintendo systems, but Nintendo will always defy people’s expectations by having amazing first party titles. It’s their software, not the hardware.
I dunno, I’m just spit balling here, but when Google drops you from their stupid YouTube rewind videos because you said a bunch of N bombs, maybe you should just go away. I’ve used Linux as my primary OS since 1999, and my kids, aged 9 and 12 have only ever used Linux. But I’m just offering that even though he promoted Linux we might not praise him for that. I personally think he sucks, have never followed what he’s doing, but because he’s so popular his misdeeds sometimes come across my news feed.
Stop posting Lunduke stuff. This dude sucks and has a long history of sucking.
Let me give you my perspective.
I’ve been an Nvidia user for almost my entire life (started with a Voodoo 2, then a Voodoo 3) but last year finally got fed up with the Nvidia driver insanity. I jumped ship and got a Radeon 6700XT. I powered down my PC, pulled my Nvidia 1060 Ti out and put the AMD card in.
I powered it on and it booted straight to the login screen. I then spent roughly 15 minutes trying to figure out how to install the Radeon drivers with no luck. Turns out, you don’t have to. They’re open source and work right out of the box. Jumped right into starfield and haven’t looked back since.
I’ll never buy another Nvidia card. Just my experience, but hope this helps.
Look into commercial displays. They’re dumb TV’s.
I know this doesn’t answer your question, but I love obsidian and have no problem paying for the sync. If anyone can’t afford to do so, I completely get it and am not judging. But the company behind obsidian has taken zero VC funding, and are doing amazing things. I highly encourage folks to support them if you have the means.
I miss being able to use bitmapped fonts back in the Gnome 1.x days.
Such innovation.
Thanks! I use Excalidraw occasionally, but only in light mode. Derp.
OT: What program are these diagrams made with? I’ve seen them floating around recently and really like the looks of them.
This is the correct answer, for Nvidia.
Did he finish the metaverse already?
