Oh, over the Internet, not just the local network … then maybe Lufi?
for example this instance: https://upload.disroot.org/
Works well, but not particularly fast with large amounts of data (up to 2GB possible)

KDE-Connect? https://kdeconnect.kde.org/
It works very well for the data exchange between Linux, Android, iOS and Microsoft devices. https://apps.kde.org/kdeconnect/
Of course, it can do a lot more, it’s a bit oversized for just data exchange
Q4os with Trinity desktop really needs little RAM and runs fast even on old devices. The desktop is a bit old-fashioned, but ok. You may also try lighter browsers, perhaps Palemoon.
But 4GB is actually not that little, almost all distros can run well with it, especially rather slim ones like Debian lxqt. maybe it’s really due to the hdd.
The development of UAD has been stopped/paused. The fork Universal Android Debloater Next Generation continues it

My answers from Firefish unfortunately do not arrive here on Lemmy. It would be great if it basically worked from Firefish, now. If it is instance-dependent, I would perhaps change the instance, because Firefish offers many advantages compared to Mastodon.
Yes, sorry, I had overlooked that. That’s why I recommended Lufi afterwards.
