I think it is fair enough that they need to make money somehow but looks like they have only made £155 in November which is a shame. I have been a low-level donor for Ardour for 12 years now, and you can see they make something like £4000. I will check out Zrhythm properly as they obviously put a lot of effort in.

Got to say I strongly disagree, I have used Ardour and other DAWs extensively. Ardour is a very good DAW but it’s MIDI capabilities are still improving. Zrhythm and Ardour came from different angles and seems like they are both becoming more modern.

Just the other day I tried to remove pipewire from my system but didn’t look at the list of packages to be removed… Turns out it removed gnome desktop and so booted into CLI 🤦‍♀️

I think we are still in an age where few women were encouraged to do technical things growing up, and found those subjects later in school, university or work. I suspect that will change over the next ten years.

I did exactly this at work the other day. Someone had forwarded a full email thread to me and asked my opinion on it - they gave no summary or outline of the thread and expected me to read through it. I don’t have time to read through a full thread and work out what they want from me so I copied it into chatgpt and asked it to summarise and tell me points that might need my attention. It was pretty good
