Also VPN makes you rather anonymous. The sites won’t track you and sometimes the trackers on public torrent files are notorious for tracking.
Some websites now are really shit. Won’t load unless you allow JavaScript from 15 different domains, cookie consent, terrible privacy etc.

There are merits to using flatpaks. With flatseal application, you can fine-tune the permissions given to a certain flatpak application. The best thing is restricting internet usage.
