Pretty funny that the slang term “glowies” for feds was started by Terry Davis.

I’d argue that it’s very important, especially since more and more people are using it. Wikipedia is generally correct and people, myself included, edit incorrect things. ChatGPT is a black box and there’s no user feedback. It’s also stupid to waste resources to run an inefficient LLM that a regular search and a few minutes of time, along with like a bite of an apple worth of energy, could easily handle. After all that, you’re going to need to check all those sources chatGPT used anyways, so how much time is it really saving you? At least with Wikipedia I know other people have looked at the same things I’m looking at, and a small percentage of those people will actually correct errors.
Many people aren’t using it as a valid research aid like you point out, they’re just pasting directly out of it onto the internet. This is the use case I dislike the most.
At least some editor will usually make sure Wikipedia is correct. There’s nobody ensuring chatGPT is correct.
I’ve had my 16TB ironwolf pros spinning for 5 years in my NAS, no issues. People love to trash Seagate but I can’t say I’ve had any issues. I also have 6x10TB barracuda pros and they’re fine too, for about 10 years.
What do you mean by same thing with Meshtastic, are they trying to sell spectrum around 900mHz too?
Calling that pyramid age I think is a little disingenuous, they didn’t have 40,000 psi concrete back in those days.
Losing what.cd was like losing the musical library of Alexandria. Redacted is pretty good, but it’s just not the same.
Redacted. Frankly though Bandcamp has most of what I want and I don’t mind paying if it’s reasonable. I only turn to RED when I can’t find it on BC. Movies and TV though I’m 100% pirating regardless.
I like private trackers for music because what I’m looking for is niche and I’m a lossless whore. I like private trackers for movies/TV because I don’t have to use a VPN and I can find remuxes or tiny X265 rips to fill my Plex server with. I can’t remember the last time I used a public tracker.
If you tell someone that fedi instances are like email providers and that your instance is transfem.social, that creates three expecations in your audience:
1)The main, or possibly only, way to access your fedi account on a desktop is through the transfem.social website.
2)The main, or possibly only, way to access your fedi account on a smartphone is through the transfem.social app. This app is completely separate from the apps that could be used to access a fedi account on another instance.
3)The primary difference between transfem.social and other fedi instances is the UI of the website and app.
Frankly, I don’t think this is that big of a deal. First introduce them to an instance, then once they figure that out, show them the apps and other ways to access that instance.
All I’m saying is I haven’t seen a 2.4G connection drop from a microwave in like 10-15 years. It used to happen with my parents old 1986 microwave when I was stealing WiFi from the neighbor across the street. Other than that I’ve not noticed it anywhere. I don’t think this is really occurring that frequently these days.
I can tell you this is untrue as I post this with my microwave on and my phone inches away from it, while on 2.4 GHz.
Maybe if you’re using a device within 50mm of the microwave and you’re manually setting your AP to run at minimum power.
Moving slightly away from the microwave will fix this. Don’t use your WiFi within inches of the microwave when you already have a very low signal.
Only if your microwave is poorly shielded. 2.4Ghz works fine right next to mine with the router on a different floor, on the other side of the house.

Last time Apple tried to do modems they were clearly inferior to Qualcomm. I hope it goes better with these WiFi chips.
It’s broader than just a Disney+ trial account, it’s part of the whole Disney account, such as when you buy tickets as he did in 2023. Between that and the Florida judge I’m not sure it will get thrown out.
Best case scenario is forced arbitration is just ended. It should be an option, not a requirement.

Disney adds that Mr Piccolo accepted these terms again when using his Disney account to buy tickets for the theme park in 2023.
By no means do I agree with forced arbitration, but so many articles are reporting this partially.
They also agreed to the same clause when buying the tickets in 2023. It’s not just the streaming service ToS in play. Sure gets a lot of clicks saying it like it was though.
Again I think this is all horseshit and forced arbitration can get fucked, but it’s not being reported properly. The Disney+ trial could have not happened at all and the argument from Disney wouldn’t change.

It’s not about the degree of genetic hybridization but rather what’s playable. 100% dragon MMO means there’s only dragons, no other playable creatures. Pretty straightforward, no?
They’re already doing it for apartments and other rentals, and have been for years. Nobody did anything.
