I’m literally dual booting windows 11 and Linux right now. It actually just worked. After install it just asks you to approve the key, you confirm it, and boom it’s done.

This weird hatred around secure boot is baffling to me.
Secure boot isnt even new, it’s been around for over a decade. Most Linux distros work well with it. It’s like the weird hatred with UEFI when it first became a thing.
Lets be real here. They’d do it no matter who’s in charge.
You’d want mastadon for that. Lemmy is for following communities. Someone could make their own community if they wanted something for just them.
That’s by design though. There’s no way to have a federated system and ensure that everything deletes it.
Microsoft is bringing an update to Copilot Vision for Windows Insiders
Unless you’re in the windows insider program nobody should have this feature yet.
0 tolerance = 0 thought.
Depends, are you trying to archive your tapes, or are you trying to archive the movies on them?
The clouds are leaking.
Steam hardware survey page doesn’t even list “Radeon HD” anywhere on it so probably less than 1% of the market. I think the (previous) post mining boom killed off a lot of those cards. Used RX 480 and 580s started flooding the market for cheap and performed the better for less money and power.
Yes. The carrier unlocked ones (historically) came with unlockable boot loaders. The carrier locked ones also don’t allow you to unlock. T-Mobile used to let you unlock your bootloaders, but I think recently they’ve stopped. But carrier unlocked? Those used to never be not unlockable.
You’ve (almost) always been able to buy factory unlocked phones in the US.
Even the factory unlocked ones?
From what I read they actually work with 3rd party analog receivers from the drone itself.

Compatible with Analog Video Transmission
The DJI Digital FPV System can be used with analog image transmission via a third-party receiver, allowing users to switch between AV and digital video transmissions.
All the drone footage I’ve seen has been analog, and I guess it’s possible on the FPV.
On a modern laptop undervolting probably isn’t an option, but you can try to reduce your CPUs clock speeds.
My old thinkpad has a PL1 of like 100 watts normally, 50 watts in game, but it drops all the way down to just 25 watts after a while. If I can reduce my CPUs clock speeds so it rarely exceeds 35 watts in game then I can maintain that higher power level almost indefinitely. Maybe try seeing if your laptop is doing something similar?
What kind of compression are they using if a H tier 12th gen i5 is running at 100% usage? I doubt a laptop with that tier of a CPU has that great of an SSD that can saturate the CPU. Unless it’s single threaded or something.
Mac OS is my favorite Linux distro.
To be honest I’d be surprised if it didn’t. I ran the OG version on a 2011 MacBook air with Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics. On HD 4000 it actually ran quite well.
