I’d rule out Poweramp for sure, do other music apps work? Poweramp does works fine for me on graphine OS, which is also android 16.

My 5 died randomly one day. The 9 under screen sensor works nice, heard the 6-8? light sensors were bad.

I find it interesting that some of the other comments go on picking apart my thing, that basically boil down to military = bad, so right to repair = bad and its not a problem because they are already wasting money. Be glad something good is moving forward.

Consumer rights have been increasingly stomped on by the mega corporations for years now, and they continuasly push the boundries. The very concept of a terms of service “contract” that can be changed anytime by 1 party (and heavily in their favor) is insane. The more control we get back the better.

• they couldn’t get the router password (that they own) for troubleshooting. Imagine your ISP locked you out of the router?
• it cost 200k to ship a 100k part because they weren’t allowed to fix the broken one. 300k - thats a decent sized home in some areas, just to replace a wire or something. (Look up military pricing too, I remeber seeing something about how the military pays $400 for $4 bag of fuses)
• they have to fly manufacture service techs that don’t get schematics, if they need them, an engineer is flown out who closely guards them.

Its a complete waste of taxpayer money. Money that could be redirected into more important stuff, but alas our corrupt politicians will find other things to waste it on.

We’re allowed to fix our own cars (although manufactures are trying to stop that), why can’t the military fix their own equipment or farmers fix tractors? Get a foothold in the military sector and the rest will follow.

Unfortunately yes, there are technical reasons I don’t fully understand. I think has to do with how it’s locked down, and that it can be relocked after graphine is installed.

Graphine takes security seriously, so leaving the boot loader unlocked is not acceptable to them.

Although, that may change with google removing pixel specific code from the android source.

Replacing the battery on a 9a is a invasive 64-step process(ifixit guide). The kit they sell is surprisingly cheap at $40, but has a list of other tools you need. Its definitely not a project most people will undertake.

I haven’t tried keepassium. My main device is an android, so the IOS search was brief and focused on ones that didn’t say “in-app purchases”.

Keepassdx is sadly not on ios.

The only good one I’ve found is called strongbox. Free version works fine, but the pro version prices are insanity for something that is free everywhere else. I could get behind a lifetime buy of $10, but for $99 hell no. (Monthly sub is $3 or $25/year).

Looking at the app store now, most of the keepass apps have some form of in app purchace.

Only truly free one is call keepass touch, but frankly when I tired it, it sucked.

How many set their password to your example? They just look up the password when they forget.

Its cool you got them using bitwarden, I should probably get my company to switch, I know there’s a PDF company account passwords floating around…but I’m pretty low on the totem pole.

And remember these are the same people handling all your personal info on the computer :)

At least mine knows how to password protect pdfs…and then sends me the password in a separate email. Its not a fail, but I wouldn’t call it a success either.

The point of this is to take what you already bought from Amazon with you when switching.

Its a similar problem with Proton for me. Proton doesn’t even let you sync to 3rd party cal app on the free tier.

If you’re going to paywall basic functionality, that just prevents me from trying it for a while and eventually become so tied to it, it’s difficult to break free. Google had the right plan from the get-go.

Same, oddly enough the app name and icon didn’t change for me. Still K-9 in app settings too.
