I remember seeing a selfhosted giphy alternative somewhere here, but can’t remember the name right now. Maybe it’ll come back.
I like them very much as well, only thing I’m annoyed about is that you always need to drag that --user
option… I mean, if I’m not using root or sudo, shouldn’t it be clear that I’m talking about the user space?
I am using authelia as well for some time. At some point I was looking into kanidm. It looked promising, but never got into actually using it. I never figured out though, whether they support forward header auth.
I couldn’t agree more. I also hate when mice or keyboards can not be easily disassembled to be properly cleaned. In this case I guess it’s a matter of printing precision and/or material (don’t have my own printing experience, so maybe somebody else can comment on it)
I love it! The power part is what always blocks me. I would like to set up a couple of data ssds, but never know if you actually need the 3.3v part etc, so currently I put a Pico PSU on a muATX board in a way to huge tower.
Yeah, wanted to suggest multi seat, but never played with it myself, so no clue how both sessions interact
I tried it like a year ago, and there were really a lot of things I dislike. Let’s see how it goes. Would be nice, because I still don’t have a good solution for this.
Is just another DE which you can choose when logging in
Damn. I was looking for agrees for someone like that, now I’m stuck with a microATC board that is great but doesn’t fit in a 10" rack, why are there no 12" racks? ^^
Nice setup. I also started with a mini PC but couldn’t find a reasonable way to add drives, how are yours attached? In general I would love to find some reasonable prices DAS/JBOD options
Whatever you want. You did ten pushups… add it to the counter, ate sweets… add it to the counter. So it doesn’t count anything automatically, it just gives you a simple interface to keep track of stuff.
I find the rack itself never the problem. You can get them super cheap… But single (ATX) cases are completely out of proportion. Does somebody has a good idea to mount a micro ATX motherboard and a couple 2.5" drives (external PSU)?
Just what the doctor ordered :) I’ll definitely go through it soon. Thanks for sharing!
FOSS is free and open source software, which is free to use and it’s source code is disclosed and allowed to used to variable extend, often (definitely not always) owned by private people or non profit organizations. “Just” freeware is usually used for proprietory software, which is free to use, but undisclosed source, so nobody can look under the hood and see what it actually does.
Do I understand correct that it is a document manager, specialized on PDFs? I tried various EDMs for personal use (e.g. Mayan, paperless), but was never really happy, so maybe I find time to give it a spin.
I nowadays I don’t see much benefit of dedicated Android apps in these cases (clients of hosted content). If your webapp works well for mobile browsers than making it a pwa is not much more than adding a single file and it feels pretty native to me. So you safe tons of development work. Or am I missing on something?
I’m using the Xiaomi “Mi Body competition 2” together with https://github.com/lolouk44/hassio-addons/tree/master/mi-scale and am reasonably satisfied with it.
I used it for a while. It eats up half your server just by existing ^^is a good system for the time, but now we have better alternatives.
