Yeah I thought there is no way it can work effectively and never tried it. I was wondering how they could afford so much advertising. I just expected to be bankrupt. I bet others thought that too. That the shadyness was only about investors.

That is not the reality as I see it. They don’t hide the fact that it’s a sponsored video (marked as “sponsored video”) until the end of the video. They seems mindful to always disclose conflict of interest (everytime framework, the NAS company) and they stopped working with Anker publically and immediately when the eufy camera scandal broke. They seem to hold them selves to a high ethical standard and disclose information even though it paints them in a negative light (they admitted they knew honey was swapping advertiser links but they didn’t make it a big story)
Source: I watch around 2-3 LTT videos per week and around 50% of the WAN show podcast
I used to watch less because I couldn’t bring myself to click on the god-awful distasteful thumbnails but then I installed “dearrow” and sponsorblock and they are more than tolerable.
LTT doesnt make deep investigative hours-long videos anyway
Illegal hidden advertising?
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Yeah but you don’t open source the LLM, you open source the training code and the weights and the specs/architecture
People don’t have to compile their own kernel to benefit from FOSS. Their phone can run the Linux kernel and the services they use run on FOSS. The more stuff based on FOSS they use the less license fees and RnD they subsidize. Imagine if you had to pay for every FOSS instance you use. Linux kernel, ffmpeg, openssl, docker, WebKit, mySQL and whatever, the same way you pay for GSM or ARM trustzone or console-like-platform-tax
Yeah I remember once when my friends Synology started acting harmful when he run jellyfin on it. it started off gasing mustard gas. It poisoned the well and made his son addicted to zyns. All of the cars in his neighborhood needed new batteries. The country’s GTP dropped a lot that month and the ozone layer is gone. Thank God YouTube stopped platforming such harmful content. Too bad so luch damage has already been done.
Enshittification is inevitable for all free services (services as in with a server component). Thankfully the functions of tailscale are open source so until enshittification actually happens I will be happy with using a a useful but VC funded project. When I am not willing to make the trade off anymore I will use headscale or some other drop in replacement.
Yeah and steam is closed source DRM platform. Great software sometimes is worth the trade off.
I have been trying to bind ctrl c to copy in micro and alacrity, I can’t find a way.

How about you being ashamed about parroting unbased allegations. PewDiePie never showed significant evidence he is a Nazi and transphobic. The two mistakes he did in his 1000ands hours of content he apologized and condemned the behavior.
and Android devices only have one VPN slot enabled, I cannot use something such as Tailscale for encryption.
I solved a similar situation with a tailscale subnet router . a tailscale subnet router is a tailscale node that exposes the non-tailscale network to the tailscale network. This way I am able to access one of my routers (and its PBX) from all tailscale nodes. The android phone has only tailscale as a VPN. If i pay for mulvad I can have the rest of the traffic go over a mullvad node.
doesn’t really help you here though, unless you install protonVPN on the pi and add that as a tailscale exit node.
a wireguard tunnel over a forced NordVPN tunnel will mean that all his traffic will flow all the way to the NordVPN node and all the way back for a LAN connection.
a properly configured wireguard tunnel is harder to configure than a tailscale network with a mullvad exit node. (I think)
a wireguard tunnel can only connect one device to the Jellyfin Server (or router if it supports it)
You can also add a second network interface to the computer that needs to access the jellyfin server over LAN.
If you are willing to swap to mullvad then you can also install tailscale. You can then choose to connect to your jellyfin server (over LAN) or (over tailscale-wireguard tunnel over LAN) while the rest of the traffic flows through mullvad.
The only way left to detect cheating is looking at how human the moves are.
