There is piracy and then there is talking others out of donating

There is piracy and then there is talking others out of donating
I’m clueless about the discussions about this: but my concern is that, over time (years) most user activity will be on a handful of well managed instances. Smaller instances will come and go.
Seems the working fediverse needs server teams that are not too big or small.
I feel gloomy thinking this will be a bottleneck for diversity, expansion and growth on lemmy.
The current ftc doing something constructive?
Most likely situation is that this will not happen now, or years from now
Love it
I attempted to download a car once, but front wheel got stuck in my router. Was huge mess
Thunderbird I use each day on my Linux desktop. It’s ok, better than the others I tried.
I have different email addresses I manage.
There are probably dozens of ways to create a non Gmail email, depending on your tech level with domains.
If you want a custom domain, just purchase one at any domain seller. Example liner.me , limer.name etc, there are dozens of things you can choose from and will cost very little to a lot depending on your choice.
Then once you have that , most of the major domain providers offer email service without getting complicated. Or, you can go next level and take your new domain to one of many email companies where they hook you up. Or, you can do this yourself.
Looking at the reviews, ignoring the mega hats, it seems part of the app does not work from time to time
I’m not sure of what I’m talking about exactly, but I vaguely suspect that integrating with the fediverse will make some of their less ethical practices at tumbler too transparent and obvious.
But that is one part hunch and one part cynical belief, I don’t know of the details
Every region in the world has its way of doing things. When new layers of control are added, it makes some people nervous.
When the new controls are perhaps mismanaged and corrupt, promising to do more than advertised, it makes some people angry. Especially during an increase of lawlessness and corruption of the central government. Especially when it uses the same messaging which has already harmed many

I think the plastic particles is a contaminant covering the cap on both sides. In the last section they mentioned the level dropped three times after washing the cap before sealing

It is rather both sides, isn’t it?
But, after poking around lemmy, I have decided there is value in all instances. There will be communities nestled in between the stuff I do not like. I like and dislike much on lemmy

looking for a instance with the fewest trolls, bots, and anyone that likes to take things to the extremes.
All the instances are good in their own way, but at least one will irritate you very much, and it’s always different. There are ways each one can make you go “why???”
There are commenters who will call one or more instances bad things. That may or may not be accurate for you.
Each large instance has one or more crazy mods, all instances mostly have decent mods. Each instance will have multiple examples about why it’s good or horrible.
@aihorde@lemmy.dbzer0.com draw for me Mickey Mouse stealing art
There are a huge number of lemmy users who are genocide deniers and hate many other things , including lemmy.ml and the developers
Plastics produce nanoparticles too
My perception is you are trying to talk people out of donating to maintain lemmy, while using it yourself?
What does this even have to do with piracy ???
