I wish I could create playlists on Nebula.
40ish white dude (he/him) from the Netherlands
I wish I could create playlists on Nebula.
Yeah, maybe this will help me detox from my Youtube addiction.
What is the use case for it?
PhpBB for life!
It’s a photo sharing site using ActivityPub for the federation, but it’s not Pixelfed.
It’s a direct copy from this graph, with just the logos replaced for federated/semi-federated services: https://feddit.org/post/13181365
Where Facebook is meant for the over 60 crowd, instead of Friendica, and TwitterX and Threads for the opinionated assholes instead of Mastodon, etc.
There the categories make a bit more sense.
This is a Vernissage: https://vernissage.photos/
Went to their website, clicked on the link that said “Click here to see the popular GnuSocial sites you can join”, and it showed a completely empty list. That seems indicative of something. :)
Sorry, you’re going to have to use Friendica, it’s the law.
What’s the logo with the devilish “G” for? I might need to migrate away from Mastodon for that platform.
Oh wait, that’s probably GnuSocial, isn’t it? I’ll stick with Mastodon, even though I’m too old now :D
Sure, but I’m not touching anything Sony with a 10 foot pole.
I’m still getting justified in my boycott of anything Sony that started in 2005, when they bricked my PC for daring to put a Sony CD in my computer’s CD player! Fucking rootkit.
Yes I’m still holding that grudge and I will not relent, for as long as I live.
Any movie I watch I make sure it’s not a Sony product, any music I listen to, I make doubly sure it’s not from a Sony studio. Any electronics I buy, I make triply sure it doesn’t contain any Sony product. Sony is not getting a dime from me ever again!
Fuck Sony!
Why are they removing bookmarklets? Those are useful features!
It’s primarily used for audiobooks. Those need to be stored somewhere.
The podcast feature of Audiobookshelf uses the same structure, so the server downloads the file and the client can then find it and either download it to your local device or stream it from your server.
If you don’t want that, I wouldn’t use Audiobookshelf as an intermediary tool. I’d use Pocket Casts, or antennapod or some such.
And that’s why it’s clear to me that you have a mental defect.
It’s been nice playing with you, but now I’m bored, bye.
I don’t know why you are talking about labs in this comment.
Yes, power outages are possible through cyber attacks, and they could become more prevalent. But according to the experts, this particular incident was not a cyber attack. And I prefer to listen to experts than my gut, as my gut is far too often wrong!
Weather engineering is also something that exists, but that is also highly unlikely to be the cause of this particular power outage.
You go ahead and stay in your conspiracy bubble, meanwhile we in reality continue to live our lives like normal.
That’s not how anything works.
There are only 2 instances of media outlets being banned based on the outcome of a political action and both had been known to spread complete and utter nonsense as “alternative facts” before they were banned: Russia Today and Sputnik.
There’s not a great big cabal that says what’s true and what’s not.
There are objective facts, there are opinions and there are complete fabrications aka lies aka “alternative facts”.
Facts are fine.
Opinions are fine, but they’re not facts.
Complete fabrications or “alternative facts” are not fine, they can be objectively judged to be complete fabrications.
Yes, I was aware of the power outages, and yes I still think that NWO is a conspiracy theory. There’s no connection between the NWO and the power outage, which was likely due to big variations in atmospheric temperatures. There’s been no evidence of foul play or cyber attacks.
That language is too active. It’s more like “robot taxi passenger needs medical attention”. “During the ride with a robot taxi a passenger became unwell. It’s unclear at this point what caused the passenger to become dizzy and get a head wound. Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk told this reporter that there was no problem at all and that the passenger arrived faster at their destination than initially calculated.”
