You backpedaled after being called out, and it’s particularly annoying because removing permanently can also mean extermination. But giving you grace and only interpreting it as rehabilitation (assuming the individual is deemed to no longer be a danger to others), it’s still impossible to enforce until there’s a crime.

That is appalling, and I don’t mean to diminish the importance of this, but if the claims on fascism stand to scrutiny then it’s not relevant, and if the claims don’t stand to scrutiny they can be easily refuted.

I’m running Debian 12 (Bookworm) on a Dell laptop and it updates my firmware out of the box as well. I’m not running any NVidia though, so I can’t comment on whether that’d work or not.

Some of us weren’t aware, it’s a good thing that it gets shared more. Considering this isn’t harming you or anyone, the best thing to do is ignore it if you’ve already engaged with it.

Having a debate with a fascist legitimizes them, according to research. The right thing to do with nazis is deplatform them, full stop. You could be Jesus, if you’re debating a nazi you’re still signaling that their ideas are worth debating and giving them a platform to do so.

Why should open source change to accommodate oligarchs who put us in this place to begin with? Open source is very imperfect under capitalism, and if we had to choose we should get rid of the one that’s allowing millions to die from preventable deaths, when not outright killing them.

This is just my opinion, but he’s the compatible left, I don’t mean to say he is or isn’t a pedo, I mean to say that figures like him should be discussed with skepticism even without them palling around with billionaire pedophiles. I use my computers for work and I borked a couple of systems before just picking Debian, I don’t feel like I need an immutable distro because now I know better and I read better to make sure I understand what’s going on in my computer, but I need security and stability more than anything else and I might give an immutable distro a shot next time I upgrade.

Do you have more info on the company going to shit? I quickly googled it and maybe I’m searching wrong but the couple of pages with search results I checked had no relevant information lol
