I don’t get why the gaming platforms are removing games instead of removing the objecting payment providers as a payment option for purchasing those particular games.
I think the issue isn’t that the payment providers don’t want to support the purchase of those games with their card. They want to stop offering their services to a platform that sells those games.
You can be child-free and still be married. Anyway.
A wise thing to do is for men to have their own “Tea” type of app to balance things out. I see no reason not to.
This would probably be an equal breach of privacy for less gain.
Female Tea (if used properly) is about protecting women from being abused.
Male Tea would probably be more about flagging girls that want expensive dates and don’t put out.
Like, sure, go ahead. Have a male Tea app. But the stakes are not the same.

In one article (maybe not this one), the reasoning was that these were preorders, and they needed to ensure that each preordered console was saved for someone who preordered it.
In that state, plastic bags are illegal and haven’t been replaced by paper bags, so that’s out.
Generally, they’d tape the receipt to the box. But it was especially hot in the store on that day, and the receipts were being blown off by the AC/fans despite the tape.
They didn’t have stronger tape, but they did have a stapler.
Perfectly logical for someone who doesn’t realize the box is part of the purchase. I hate it, but I get how it happened.

For a lot of people, the box isn’t much different from an Amazon delivery box. You throw it out after you’ve got what’s inside.

They’re in the business of providing (expensive) peace of mind. Not the business of providing good value for money.

Thank you for sharing. I don’t have direct personal experience with a rental water heater – I was thrilled to find out the place I bought was built before it became the norm, and none of the prior owners got duped into getting a subscription.
Subscriptions suck. The only exceptions are if you literally have too much money to care. But most people don’t have the money to throw around like that.
Where I live, there are water heater rentals. It’s essentially a hardware subscription.
They’re garbage.
For something that needs minimal maintenance and will last at least 10 years, you can rent for the price that you’d break even if you had a new one installed every 5 years.
People will pay thousands of dollars to have the privilege of throwing out the water heater and getting out of the contract. And then pay to buy a new one they actually own.
But some people like it because, yes, if there’s a problem, they come and fix it for you. Or give you a brand new water heater. That you’ve already paid for two or three times over!
Interesting! Maybe it’s a similar situation on Steam, but the payment providers demanded the platforms act immediately (or at least too soon for them to make such changes).
Or maybe Steam gets too many chargebacks on NSFW games and is ok with this? Lol
