I’ve been running it on my laptop for months and it’s been a fantastic experience
Just use mullvad. Pay for it with Monero if you’re super paranoid.
Private trackers are no more “secure” than public aside from the barriers to entry… However, it’s not like someone working for the MPAA couldn’t pass an interview or whatever it is they do these days…
I’d still use a VPN if I were still on private trackers.
That said, I use a VPN always, so… 🤷🏻
Who do you send the complaint to?
I literally had the opposite experience lol. Just got NewPipe and it seems to work fine.
Suck shit, Google.
As someone who’s (re) vanced stopped working today, one thing about using my browser instead was the inability to switch to a different app or lock my screen without pausing.
I fucking hate that shit. Made solely so they could sell it as a “bonus feature” for subscribing to their pay service.
Dwarf Fortress is quite the rabbit hole. It’s so much more than just a game. The complexity of the simulation has actually made me wonder about simulation theory IRL.
It’s mind blowing.
Ah, bummer… Can’t you just log in using X11 instead of Wayland for the session when you want to play? Assuming it’s a Wayland issue…
For some reason I’ve been having issues too, but I started adding this to my launch options in the game properties in Steam and it seems to work for several games. Dunno if this is the same issue as you though, but maybe worth a shot:
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Also use Wayland.
Wait is CDRomance also under threat? Ugh
There are also (somewhat hidden) “hard modes” where the only indicator that you’re in a different mode is that the badge number next to the uBlock icon changes color.
You can have it block all third party scripts by default for every website, or even go all out and basically use it like noscript. Pretty much breaks every individual website though but you can choose individually what to let through and save it based on domain (I believe) so you really only need to do it once.
Again, only one data point but you basically just described me exactly
I can only speak for myself, but me getting a Steam Deck was step one in the process where eventually, about a year or so ago, I switched to Linux on my laptop, and I don’t have a single regret.
I will never use Windows again when it’s my choice.
It seems very common among millennials and Gen Z.
Rotten Tomatoes will usually say where it’s streaming. Or a quick Google search of “(TV show) where streaming” will get you there. At least it used to, Google is shit these days so who knows.
Depending on her age of course… But you can find SRT (subtitle) files for literally almost everything, often in dozens of languages. They’re super tiny too since it’s basically just a txt file
I bet watching them in English with Portuguese subtitles would prob be a great way for a kid to learn English on the sly
Any reason to use it over Timeshift? Or same basic concept?
This is how (at least elder) millennials learned everything they know about technology. It’s the only way imo
